- Wali does a weighted muscle ups and bodyweight push ups workout challenge. 15 muscle ups with a 25 pound plate then 10 muscle ups with a 15 pound plate and 100 push ups to be done in under 10 minutes.

I don't like calisthenics with weights. It comes with the same risks of injury as weighted exercise (Gym). It also puts a lot of stress on your joints.
That’s why I hired a professional streetlifting/endurance coach. These problems can very well be solved with smart training IQ something that most calisthenics “athletes” lack especially here in the U.S
@@mantimefitness Being smart is a good thing. Somehow, I think that when you put on extra weights, it's something other than bodyweight exercises. I like natural. It's just me.
His form was on point so which means he won't get injured. Injury comes from bad form. His was clean.
You can strengthen joints and connective tissues with proper loading
RESISTANCE BANDS, best of both... Don't come with as much risk as weights and you can still get the extra work. The issue is figuring out how to set up the bands to do band weighted pullups and dips. To set up band weighted dips is easy, just loop the band over your shoulders and grab each end with the bar, or if you have a way to anchor the bands below you, do that. Band weighted pullups, little weirder depending on the bar you are using, you pretty much have to figure out how to anchor to something below, but it's similar loop it around your shoulders. But when you figure it out, it adds the extra pressure without as much strain because the bands are more dynamic on the eccentric but still gives extra pressure. I prefer the bands, however, I don't think weighted calisthenics is bad, but should definitely limit it to like once a week or bi-weekly and yeah you gotta not ego lift, you will get fvcked up ego lifting weighted calisthenics, you need to be careful with going to failure with weights on your calisthenics movements.
