Probably 7 years ago in Glacier National Park when we saw a pair of Wolverines. Seeing a Grizzly and her cubs is fun also and we've been blessed to see three set, two in Yellowstone and one in Glacier. Oh, almost forgot the Wolf and her pup in Yellowstone. Awesome video. Is it that warm in Canada or was this video shot earlier in the year? ? Safe Travels.
It wasn't in the wild, but there was a family of foxes that lived in the roofing shed of the lumber yard I worked at ... they would sit on the roof of the shed and watch all the customers. there was also a huge squirrel that sat down next to me at Wedding Rock in Fort Bragg, CA and ate a nut, I just sat there really still and ate my own lunch
Beautiful trip. We made a similar one with rent RV. In september 2018. In river Teslin bridge we saw the most amazing aurora borealis in our lifes. Even more spectacular than Lapland. Congrats dude! In this dark hours of pandemy I recall those great moments in Canada.

You folks really make me feel like I'm along for the ride, and oh how I wish I was! You've had me laughing and crying, and just plain enjoying myself like I haven't in a long time. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure!
As you were going down the road in Whitehorse, my brain was saying "Take a right here... The Yukon Brewing Co. is just down that street". Mmmmm Yukon beer.
@@LifestyleOverland Yes so many. I was up there this last summer too. My growler hit up a bunch of places in Canada & Alaska. Some yummy stuff up there.
Your vlog is one of my favorite. My family and I will be heading back lower 48 in the Spring. Not our first time through ALCAN highway but first time with kids and rooftop tent. I got few tips from your show. Thanks a lot. I knew when I leave the military we will be doing more overlanding. Be safe out there...
We really enjoyed boon docking up there. We have a 25 ft 5th wheel and we stayed in the best areas. Sweet. I learned how to darken the camper for sleep. Love your videos.
I lived in Alaska for 37 years. But always found the Yukon more attractive and enjoyable to spend time in...Also the cassiar Hwy and Alaska Hwy in northern BC. Loved the whole area!! The rain starts coming at the end of the summer, then it's snow pretty soon...

...why did I just watch 22 minutes of tourists driving through my home town and back yard? Huh...must be some good editing or something. :) ... Good work on the video! Really good quality sound and picture, nice cuts (overall)! I'm glad you guys enjoyed the Yukon. I absolutely love it her, personally...my parents moved up here the month before my 10th birthday. The 15 thumbs down(And future thumbs down), are probably from people whom have almost zero dollars in their pockets or bank accounts to make trips and or videos like these. Or possibly have miserable family lives, enough to want to "SHARE" OR "PROJECT" some of their psychological negativity on to others. Remember it's always about Money, or Love/Caring type of negative outbursts which drive these thumbs down. Okay enough Negativity for one day. Thank you for sharing your family's Adventure through the open highway, Nature, and above all, "The LOVE you have for LIVING LIFE!!!"
Hey guys, that’s awesome trip your on. I did that route solo in 1997 and it was awesome. When you said tok I thought you were talking about tok Alaska. It’s a few miles west of the Canadian border. Anyway I just subscribe to your channel because I like the way you do your videos, I feel it puts the viewer in the seat next to you guys, as if we’re with you on your adventure. That’s my take on it anyway. Will be doing this trip again but hopefully not solo this time. Thanks for the video.
Its been 40 years since I have been up there. So much is the same but things have grown.....except the trees. Tuk, fun place, well, it's all great. We had up to 300 miles between gas stops and signs warning that "Aircraft" have the right-of-way. Turns out Bush Pilots have to pee also. Yes, there were small gravel turn-offs specially marked for Aircraft on the side of the "Highway".

Lifestyle Overland 3.....what are you doing to them ??!! Lol. I suppose heavy everyday use will account for some of that but 3 in 9 months....not good. Any gold in your pan? I didn't get the prospective of the water falls until you did the 100 foot vertical shot. Very beautiful. Great video as usual. Really enjoy the day to day routine. Thank you for taking the time to make these
Did you skip the Liard Hot Springs???? I drove a Ford Escape with a 1200 lb teardrop -- 21.7 m/gal US (10.82 l/100km) for my 8500km roundtrip to Tuk. How did you only manage 11 mpg? It was nice to go to reasonably priced campgrounds - all the territorial parks are $12 fees usually with firewood!
Hi Eric, I follow your fantastic journey from Europe. I have seen almost the all video of your channel, and the technical and gear related videos also very interesting. You provide a very details list of the gears you have used. Telling the thru, it is interesting checking the links because there are devices that it looks like quite amazing and I don't ever heard that these devices are exist. Maybe a silly question, at 16:35 on the video there is something hanging on your belt. (when taking wood to the fireplace.) What is this gear exactly? Have a nice and safe trip, take care! cheers from Europe.
Thanks for sharing! It’s so cool! You car has a quite good ground clearance, mine id only 8,5 inch, would be it’s possible to travel there with mine car?

@@LifestyleOverland thank you so much. Tmthe wife and have been watching you guys for some time. Missed yah last years overland expo. Hopefully get to see you guys this year. You guys are amazing.
Your trailer has to get absolutely filthy dirty, drug behind your vehicle on dirt and muddy roads. And yet it looks fairly clean every time you post a video. Do you carry a pressure washer with you? :-) How do you deal with that every time?
The smoke was really bad up there this year in August so I'm going to venture a guess and say they were up there in July sometime. Saw a sign that another TH-camr put up in late May early June in Watson Lake so I know it was after that 😆
@@hassanzahrir1843 yeah right now they are getting dumped on with snow (when I drove that stretch in March there was about 2-3 feet of snow on the ground there) but the video was a late release. Most likely to maximize on TH-cam traffic and also give ample time to edit and make for a more interesting end video.
Honestly the release date was the absolute best timeframe we could achieve with the logistics of the chaotic jump into full-time travel, backlog of outsourced media work, vehicle preparation, travel, filming, family, and scarcity of upload speeds that would allow upload in the north country. All in all, it was a tough learning experience! The unintended benefit though was that we can now create a higher quality video (larger files) and more consistent storyline by producing them back to back while visiting family for the holidays. I think the audience has grown due to more people being indoors for winter too! Once we get caught up... we hope to never be more than a few weeks behind going forward!

Hey Mike! Glad you liked it!
What a great video. thanks for sharing. Is this trip in spring or later summer? Thanks.
Beautiful
Thank you!
great video and gorgous country
Thanks, Roger!
Canadian Bacon Eh! With real Maple Syrup!
It was SOOO good!
Hi Eric! Thanks for following along! What you're seeing at 16:35 is a canister of bear spray.
@@LifestyleOverland May thanks for your quick reply!
Love the video!!! Makes me want to trade in my jeep
Thanks! We're a bit partial to the 4Runner but the Jeep is a great platform too!
I just love trucks and big cars. A lot of Jeep owners love just jeep. I would love to get a taco or a 4Runner as well as keeping my Jeep!
Pumping you fuel then paying for it isn't OLD SCHOOL.....it's trust and honesty....it's Canadian!
Love the new intro Kevin!
Thanks!!
Thanks for sharing! It’s so cool!
You car has a quite good ground clearance, mine id only 8,5 inch, would be it’s possible to travel there with mine car?
Of course!
Yay! You opened doing the dishes! :-) So I'm curious, how many total miles you have on Silver?
Yes! (and more proof I help in the kitchen occasionally ;) ) So far we have 125,000 miles on her!
@@LifestyleOverland Haha! I didn't doubt you helped. I was more interested in seeing how everything gets packed away actually. See how you use the space back there. Nice, well over 100k!
Amazing
Thanks!
Hi, enquiring on the camera mount on your dash. If you can tell me the make and model. Me and my husband are planning a cross Canada trip from Ontario. Enjoyed your video
Question, what's that pot/pan with a double lid. Looks like it even has some kind of crank handle.?
That's a popcorn popper! amzn.to/2SBVQ1i
@@LifestyleOverland thank you so much.
Those landscapes are breathtaking , in wich time of the year did you visite the Yukon
The smoke was really bad up there this year in August so I'm going to venture a guess and say they were up there in July sometime. Saw a sign that another TH-camr put up in late May early June in Watson Lake so I know it was after that 😆
@@AdamRoelofs that's true i guess , i actually asked cause i thought the yukon territory get a lot of snow in this period of the year
@@hassanzahrir1843 yeah right now they are getting dumped on with snow (when I drove that stretch in March there was about 2-3 feet of snow on the ground there) but the video was a late release. Most likely to maximize on TH-cam traffic and also give ample time to edit and make for a more interesting end video.
Thanks, Hassan! It was late July, early August through this section if I recall correctly.
