As a UK police officer (in the Met in London) it's interesting seeing how it is across the other side of the world, incidentally we have the same sort of shifts, our night shifts also start at 22:00 and finish at 07:00 hours.

Yeah we just don't have them here in the standard patrol car. We've got vans with cages should the need arise but honestly in my time so far I've only thought a cage would be nice a few times so I don't really notice it. - Constable Hurn.

Great videos guys, nice to see the police while just going about the business, i mean i wasted a English period watching these, and they are great. Only things i would suggest is longer videos, like over 10 mins (then you can also monitoze) also having two camera one in the car on facing out wards so that way we can see the things they are talking about, but great videos, 10/10 IGN

What a great video. It's good to capture an atmosphere that shows the public police officers really are just normal people. The comradery that you get in the police and emergency services would be rarely found elsewhere. I must admit, I'm surprised that NZP allows these videos (not that they portray NZP in a negative light-exactly the opposite). In Australia, social media postings by police officers usually get filtered through the liaison/PR office.
Do yall not have caged units to transport prisoners and such? I can't imagine having to do that without a caged unit and plastic seats for the drunks lol.
They have plastic covers on the seats, and if a suspect is being particularly violent or aggressive they have "paddywagons" and also I have heard of straight jackets being used(a relatives missus was fighting police when they tried to arrest(she's a loony)) But Generally people are pretty normal here

Your local Plumber don’t know about piercings but they are fine with tattoos although any on your neck hands and face will be assessed.
