Hey, It's been more than seven years when I uploaded this video. This video was one of my first videos on TH-cam. Still, I got so much hate on it. I believe you can do it better - I understand that I could do it better, and I made many mistakes. You are right - I can agree with you. If I would do it over and over till it's "perfect" (100% percent that still somebody would say that it's still sh*t) - I wouldn't be able to upload to this channel around one hundred game walkthroughs. I always tried on my walkthroughs to do it "perfectly": without saving, mainly on the hardest difficulty, collecting all the collectibles, etc. When I had a little bit of time - I uploaded videos. In the past two years, I didn't upload any videos - I played only for myself. But remember: once a gamer, always a gamer! You're making me feel better because I cheese the CPU way harder by distracting their workers when my scv melees their hq, but now I realize I don't need to feel bad. I'm doing what makes the win.
A guy posts a video four years ago of a game that came out twenty years ago, and we're still watching it and critiquing his moves. Such is life. I have to admit, I've never gone full battle cruiser, but there's something cathartic to watching them waltz into a base and mete out death with casual grace. My only critiques are:1. Don't let your battle cruisers wander unsupervised - there's safety in numbers. Keep them tightly grouped (unless you're facing area-of-effect attacks), and you'll lose few if any.2. Hotkeys are your friend. I haven't played this game in over a decade, but I still remember spamming B -> T for "build turret", and S for "siege mode". Fun to watch! Thanks for posting.

in this video at the 16 minute mark. when you needed to repair the simply depot.. when using the SCV tell him to gather minerals outside of the base.. he will walk through your tanks as if they weren't there at all.. like holograms or transparent.. as soon as the SCV clears the tanks you tell him to repair.. you do the same to get him back inside the base
@@MurriciTerceiro the broodwar computer players are kinda janky. So while in a game against actual people, spending a lot on static defense tends to be a waste and lets them out expand and econ you, vs the ai it works great because they rush out a big wave right away and then send more troops in waves while barely developing good econ. So against the ai you can just turtle up in like 2-3 bases until you max out at 200 supply and go wreck them. Still miss this game.. I hate when scv get stuck after building something, and can you imagine when they get stuck by a building such as a supply depot?
I always noticed there were at least one AI like Player 6 the blue Zerg. When i played against a bunch of Ai. They never really seem to get going. They have their one building and some workers. Nothing else
The AI can get confused pretty easily, and if something messes up their starting build order they can just cease to function. In this case, it might have been the double gas geysers that messed them up. On more standard maps, I rarely encounter this even with 7 other AIs.
Didnt expect everyone to pick on this guy. Especially from the starcraft community. Everyone plays differently. Hes not claiming to be #1. Lay off him. Injoy the game
This guy is very VERY lucky. The enemy for some reason did not use ANY siege tanks, very little psi storms, very little mind control, very little lockdowns and zero spawn broodlings. His micro was VERY bad, like straight up noob level and he wasted gas and minerals on few occasions. DO NOT TRY THIS even if you are better than this guy because aither he is VERY lucky or he did some shady shit.
What's the resource per node on this map? Standard 1500 or 2500? Either way... his resources never deminished? Usually minerals start to change looks to indicate they are getting low and never saw one get low despite him having 20k+ minerals from a single base.
Big Game Hunter is one custom Map from the SC Editor. As far as i remember, each Mineral Spot hold 99999 Minerals, same goes for gas. It was planned as a 8 Player MP Map for Monobattles (Carriers only, Hydra only etc.) or for "30 Min no Attack" Modes.Roflpwnage
Yeah dumbed down AI. This a modified BGH. Though original would still have 20k minerals per node the AI on original BGH would have rushed his base before he had 4 marines out considering how slow he was. Turrets before tanks is inviting death and sealed my opinion of his play and fake BGH. Cringed watching this, dude doesn't even use hotkeys. He'd have a hard time 1vs3cpu against original BGH.
His playing style is flawed...sure he climbed the tech tree quickly but you never send BT without wraiths as escorts at least...ever. Normally a good idea is to carry a dropship with a few SCVs and two medics as well to restore and repair.
This gameplay feels so much like Dune II - Battle for Arrakis. There is a tense buildup process with walling off and defending, then the climax of the battle around 50% in and after that a long cleanup phase with no real challenge and a lot of shooting buildings.
Just wondering, your defence wasn't attacked by Sieged tanks at any stage. Do you know why? I do a similar defence and it is always taken down by siege tanks. By putting the tanks behind the bunkers they don't have the range to take tanks that have sieged. Any thoughts?
holdenastra Actually, you can see them attempt to get out some siege tanks. However, his battlecrusiers were able to stop them from deploying, and occasionally you would see his siege tanks take out one of the enemy's or two
In fact tanks have more atk range than vision (+2 cell) Putting tanks behind bunkers is better. They will fire with the xtra vision range. On the other side, all units are revealing bunkers first, so AI is gonna target bunkers, and enemy tanks will start deploying siege mode at a bunker range, which happen to be way close to tanks already on siege mode.
This is actually a known mistake with the AI. The AI doesn't get siege mode against terran opponents and thus your tanks will easily destroy theirs if they even get any. (It does against zerg and Protoss). It's kinda dumb because tanks are needed against other terran, but nope. If you want an easy win, do terran vs all terran comps. Interestingly, if you have an ally that's not terran, the AI might target them and get siege mode, making it actually harder. Also, the AI performs very badly on maps like BGH. One good example is the Zerg AI just bugging out and doing nothing. It doesn't make good use of the excess resources either.
There's a fix; if you play 2 vs 6 and has the other *human player* played Zerg or Protoss, then the Terran AI will happily sieged their tanks outside your tank's range and blast your bunkers/supply depots/missile turret in front to bits and open a path for other troops to march on your tanks. Emphasis on human Player though, because this never work on single player game. Seems like the condition for AI to get siege tech is *"At least one human player is Protoss/Zerg"*
always fun to watch. everytime i think, don't let'em kill the depot, don't let'em kill the depot. :) now i wanna see you beating it with protoss. good job.
Excellent vid. Some constructive criticism: early game you could've used a 2nd Barracks instead of having such a supply surplus, and mid-late game you weren't using any of your science vessel spells at all. You had science vessels sitting with full energy, when they could've been shielding your cruisers or EMP-shockwaving protoss groups/buildings.
I've always preferred the Mass Goliath route over the BC route. Lots of poor play in this but at least watching the BCs mete out a victory is satisfying.
+Taiel Kekez wich is not true, since even me(literally started playing like a week ago) a total noob, managed to win a 1vs5,maybe its not much but it shows that anyone can play this game
From my personal experience beating up AI in 1 vs 7, *limited resources actually help the player, not the AIs* .Because they'll still happily send their troops to waste on the human's defensive lines until they exhausted all their resources. At which point the human player can mop them up however he like, with or without a fleet of BCs. Edit: Most of the time, they exhausted the resources on the map *before they can get high tech units like Carriers or even Wraiths out* making it even easier to mop up.
How did you set it up to where you can use the comsat without going to the actual command center and clicking to get to the command? Also how to train units without going to their barracks or factory? Can someone please explain how...
The AI is off. During the first wave of attacks the enemy runs away when fired upon. They should run into or fire on the bunkers regardless of unit loss.
I will be would always have a shuttle filled with SCVs following my science vessel that's following my battle cruiser fleet to do repairs. I always thought the BC should be able to carry a couple units like a shuttle.
he can do this because he created the game on multiplayer not single player. on single player you can't do tvb. if you do melee all the cpu will team up against you always on single player though so same thing. if you want cpu on your team in, lets say a 2v6, you have to create private game on multiplayer
kellene egy szállító egység és szállítani az utánpótlást pl, javítástaz egységeknek... should have a transport unit and supply the supply eg repairs to the units ...
Awesome video! Is there a reason why you attacked the bases on the perimeter first? It seems like the natural place to attack would be the base adjacent to you.
So heres my critique: Using this kind of strategy, only about 8 siege tanks are needed to defend your ''choke point'', 2 to 3 SCV's, and a science vessel, and 2 to 3 turrets ( 1 in the middle of bunkers, two outside of them), 2 bunkers, 3 marines(each bunker), and 2 ghost, and just in case 1 medic for healing units. I, myself am an overly conscious Terran play, so following my Battle Cruiser(s), is 2 science vessels, and a drop ship with 1 tank, 2 marines (or 1 ghost,1 marine), and 2 SCV's. Othere than that gg!!!
This is regular strategy when use Terran: Block the entrance, hold the postion until you assembled one dozen of battleships, then you can rush other players by using battleship! Normally I prefered to use nuclear bombs to eliminate the enemy base.
I remember doing this, but a 1v1v6. I would attack all the CPU players bases with a scout before they have any attacking units... When you do this, they send all their mining units to attack you, keep doing this to all bases and lure all these CPU miners to the enemy base. Often they would kill my miner and attack the CPU miners and cause complete grief for them. Not only did this make other players slow down, it makes the computers take longer to make units. By the time the other player finally deals with all the units in their main, I already have a second base and defense around it. I gotta do this sometime soon again, I miss it!
i did this once. but i made a dropship full of scv to follow my battle-cruiser so they can repair them on the go instead of having to fly them back home. time was an essence, at least when i played this. maybe my sc was bugged out but eventually the enemy would start sharing transports and doing wonky stuff.
I have recently purchased Starcraft after playing so many many years ago but i have noticed that other peoples graphics like your are more crisp and look better and i was wondering did you change any settings etc. to achieve these graphics?
+josue marquez lol, I tried going to a 2v1 match, and my ally ai died 4mins in while bombarded with 20 zerg units every 3 seconds at my area, bunkers died so fast
I notice you had to go back to base to repair a lot. Get a dropship following them with 7 scvs for repairs on the go and a medic to instantly remove lockdowns. I do a similar thing with protoss, I always leave 2 arbiters at home on top of some shield batteries and use them to warp low carriers back home and charge them, then I warp them right back to the fight with other arbiters that are cloaking my fleet. Should also use def matrix on low BCs
En un enfrentamiento con jugadores reales cae fácil porque la improvisacion del ser humano es difícil de predecir y no estaría insistiendo en penetrar la base de forma tozuda perdiendo unidades y recursos
just overusing the bug that when your enemies are being attacked from your defence they just want to attack your bunkers and they arent programed that clear the way when they cant arrive to the bunkers.
That siege on your defenses in the beginning would've been much less stupid if the AI actually did something. However, it was still somehow insane nonetheless.
The AI is a pretty fun thing to play against. But these 1v7 matches can get a little overstimulating once mind control, spawn broodling, and siege tanks come into play. Good job, though!

Normally I prefered to use nuclear bombs to eliminate the enemy base.
nukes are so weak though, and take up so much space, resources, time
Dont ever have vehicles with Terran if you dont have medics. Ghosts will fuck with them ALL DAY.
Hi everyone! Can anyone help me where to navigate the "the big game hunters" map. please.... thank you.
Didn't realize this was possible on bgh. Thought you could only do it on fastest
if i try this on my SC remastered... quickly the queens come with brood spam, so i just mass goliath and tanks instead of full defense.
What about a map without entrance????
Top left corner could be much easier for Terran, cuz it only spend a Barrack and a supply depot to make a great wall!
Which recording software do you use? I have tried Fraps and Action! and none of them are great with the old StarCraft.
I have recently purchased Starcraft after playing so many many years ago but i have noticed that other peoples graphics like your are more crisp and look better and i was wondering did you change any settings etc. to achieve these graphics?
Thanks btw your fucking awesome :)
+Walkthrough i'm gonna get it in a few weeks lol i can't wait to play it again lol
+Walkthrough lol, you got a better screen view than mines, u got a huge screen, but zoomed in looks thou
+josue marquez lol, I tried going to a 2v1 match, and my ally ai died 4mins in while bombarded with 20 zerg units every 3 seconds at my area, bunkers died so fast
+Alpha Wolf so, did you get it?
where is actualy a diplomacy button in a match vs computers nice one mate !!!!
13:17 it seems on this moment that the siege tank that Is being repaires dances!
Nice
When I turn this game on Win7 I have strange colours in Menu. What to do?
vieri031 google it. you have to create a .bat file. its easy just look up the tutorial
No hotkey? It is very hard to remmeber BT = turet BS = supply BU = bunker. I think this the ground what u need in star craft. Anyway good job.
what is the channel i can join in to play multiplayer ?
This going hard
More like vs 6 random computers because one of the Zergs got glitched and never did anything. The same thing happened in your Zerg run.
Good!!!!
Omg put the BCs on a hotkey! =) so you dont have to click them all the time
Hotkeys for everything, not just BCs
Nice game
I notice you had to go back to base to repair a lot. Get a dropship following them with 7 scvs for repairs on the go and a medic to instantly remove lockdowns. I do a similar thing with protoss, I always leave 2 arbiters at home on top of some shield batteries and use them to warp low carriers back home and charge them, then I warp them right back to the fight with other arbiters that are cloaking my fleet. Should also use def matrix on low BCs
first time seeing a guy using the icon instead of "T" hotkey for building turrets.
So surprized
Thanks, i beat challenge
nice
u need to manage your BCs better, give them more science support AND personal heavy SCV escort.
get them some medics to heal SCVs and restore BCs
when you hesitated to place the supply depot at 1:17, that's when I knew you were one of the worst players I've seen
good game!
minimal use of hotkey, or didn't know how to use hotkey
Were you playing this mouse-only? That's so frustrating to watch.. Can't even imagine playing SC without keyboard.. :)
I never could figure out how to make teams. could someone tell me how or do you have to have real people to do so
Ahhhh the good old bgh days......
Yeah try meele at Wheel of War as a terran
hey you sold of went for the defense on the right side
The shooter Dan Cazas map modificado mineral e gás 99999
Nooo
Don't be so harsh on him. Maybe he just have one arm and only uses de mouse. You don't know.
