I've been at it for 100 hours, and I still feel that the game wants to give me more... Completely replayable and enjoyable. This is what Final Fantasy series must be.

IMO there is no 'must' when it comes to FF, except possibly that each game must be its own distinct creation, and must be a labour of love.

The soundtrack is on par with Lord of the Rings and Dune. It's absolute genius
It's actually insane that this game exists, to be honest. Having never played the original, I was constantly blown away by just how much the game kept giving, like you think you've finished one thing then boom, even more, pops up. Get to Chapter 12 and boom, 20 more hours of content opens up like what even. I'd argue that this isn't just GOTY material, it's up there as one of the greatest games in a generation alongside Elden Ring, The Witcher, Skyrim, Etc.

I think Final Fantasy 7 should be declared heritage or cultural interest of humanity. And Aerith must be canonized by Pope Francis. This game is so wonderful that it is going to cause a miracle and I am serious about it

I've clocked 47hrs and about to go to Gold Saucer. This game is an experience fillled with all kinds of emotion. To compare, this is my Star Wars and I know Final Fantasy will be done right.

More than half of the cast are meh/downright skippable (only the main cast, so Celes, Locke, Terra, Shadow, Kefka etc are interesting), and it's ridiculously broken. Now ff14, not sure about that, either. I've been playing it since 2014 (I just played 3hrs today, too), but comparing ANY offline single-player game to an MMO is cheating imo.

It’s the greatest game I’ve ever played…. The original lived with me for 27 years, I’ve never been so excited for a game release and this delivered in every area. It’s a remake of the greatest game I’ve ever played, it was impossible to not be anything less than sensational and over 100 hours in, I’m still experiencing ground breaking moments and my love of these characters has been enhanced, so much so, even Cait is one of my favourites after this remake. It’s hard to make this appeal to a neutral, but as a fan it’s nothing short of brilliant.
A masterpiece!!!

140 in and I got my platinum trophy. I can say in those all 33 years that I have been alive. I never had such experience, joy, emotional feelings, cried, smiled, laughed so much with a game like this game made me. Its by far, the best game I've played in my entire life and I'm so happy to be alive to experience this. Thank you SquareEnix, thank you for this amazing experience that I'll NEVER FORGET.

I genuinely think it’s one of the most impressive games ever made. The fact that they were able to do all this in four years doesn’t really make sense to me. And let’s not forget, some of that was during the pandemic. Obviously it’s not perfect, the lighting needs work and the performance mode thing is unfortunate, but this is my favorite game that’s come out in years.

What I experienced for more than 150 hours was something I hadn't felt in a long time, when I was 9 years old.

I know there's a sort of bias because I instantly clicked this video upon seeing the title and everything.
But I need to let anyone who is reading this know, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the best videogame I've played in my entire life.
It's a beautiful realization of the FF7 world, the characters and music and landscape and NPCs and writing and dialogue make everything feel so ALIVE, it's a world worth fighting for.
This is quite likely one of the greatest gaming moments I'll ever experience in my entire life, and I'm being 100% honest.
I love this game with all of my being, Final Fantasy has helped to shape me from my youth, and to now, I am thankful to experience these stories.
I can not thank everyone, and should I name names, I'll surely miss a ton. But thank you, sincerely, genuinely sincerely.

I hope people that think Final Fantasy is bad because of XIII to XV will finally experience why Final Fantasy was a big deal and deserves to be again.

From a development standpoint, this game is an absolute marvel. It's just so vast and varied from beginning to end. Truly something special.

It really is a special game and since i know the characters for almost 25 years its so beautiful to go to that journey with them again. It shows that game was made by people who deeply care about it and not for the quick buck.

They delivered a game that was beyond expectations. There will never be another JRPG like Final Fantasy VII RE for a long time to come.
In fact, this game was a huge disappointment for me. Square can call it whatever they want, but I think it's an insult to call it a Remake.

If only the performance was not so bad on PS5, the frame pacing, the insane motion blur, terrible TAA implementation. The Dynamic resolution that go under 480p.
The game is definitly beautifull during cutscene but all the gameplay phase are terrible cause of the PS5 Hardware. You have to be playing at 5 meter of your TV to not see how the performance of the game is terrible.
Their need to release it on PC asap.

@@user-Cata7sti7ma7Resolution on 60fps mode, yes. TAA,yes. Motion blur, yes.But the actual performance, no. Digital Foundry already covered this. The performance is quite stable, aside from a few drops in combat and Nibleheim, which never drops below 50fps at its worst. And 30fps mode is absolutely rock solid. The issue is the dynamic resolution and lighting, not the framerate. Also, 480p? Bit of an exaggeration. "Resolution for performance mode averages at 1152p"-DF.

I played the original and now my kids are playing this one after playing remake. The memories made after remembering little things like the shin-ra manor code. Passing on.the torch to the new generation. If anyone asks why generations of people say fight the power and look.after the planet. This is why.
FF7 Rebirth is magical. Everything about this game has made me feel so happy. It’s one of the greatest games of this era, just as the original game was back in the 1990s.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is undoubtably my most favorite game of all time. It somehow managed to surpass FF9 and Xenogears as my all time favorites!

It’s the best “game” you might ever play. Incredible.
To be honest Remake changed my life for the better. I was jobless and in my lowest before I played the game, I came across a No Commentary full gameplay of Remake and eventually became interested. ( My dad loved playing Final Fantasy when he was alive. I can still remember he always had a copy of Advent Children on his phone, and Ive also watched it alooot of times)
I ended up watching streamers reactions to Remake and got hyped up, especially with the crazy theories with Maximillian Dood. It was 2022 that time, I know I was late and it has been 2 years since its release but I got deeply engrossed.
I was also watching the Rebirth trailer on FF7 Anniversary and got worried I might not be able to play it and just stick to watching gameplays in TH-cam.
But what a life-I landed on a job-that I even love and have the passion for- with the most understanding and amazing Boss and colleagues! Able to save up to buy PS5 and got to play FF16 when it released and now just completed Rebirth! ( Currently playing Hard Mode) and I was able to better myself too.
Im excited to play Part 3 but Im also scared and for sure be sad to see the end of the Trilogy. But Im just so thankful that Square has given us the opportunity to see FF7s world with depth. Im hoping hoping more people will give it a shot 😊

@@whydatduck662 you can continue your progress from chapter select if you just want to beat the game, but to earn the extra manuscripts in hard mode, you need to reset your quest progress (which does NOT reset quest completion) to redo most of the quests to attain those items.
Rebirth truly is the game that keeps on giving. Every time you hit a supposed ceiling, your greeted with more challenges unlocked. Not too mention it has almost endless replay ability over the upcoming years. The side characters and side quests are spot on. Idk what was different about the production of this game in comparison to the past 20 years of releases, but I hope they recognize and continue whatever magic made it possible.

Love everything in it. It exceeded my expectation. The game is massive, with a lot of unrepetitive sidequest and a ton of minigames. I hope they make this kind of gameplay as a standart for their next Final Fantasy Series.
