    Steve, I have the Beolit 20. I regularly use it once a week at 100% volume, and its 3600mAh battery only lasts about 1.5 hours before I need to continue on mains power. Any idea if there is (or will be) a compatible battery with higher capacity nearer 5000 to 6000mAh? Thanks.

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think I have ever needed full volume on my Beolit20, it can certainly play loud! Battery life will suffer at higher volume levels, you can use an external USB battery bank to boost the play time if you need maximum power.

    • @127Foxtrot
      @127Foxtrot ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@soundsheavenly Thanks Steve, that's a good solution; are there any particular specs (voltage, mAh etc.) that I should consider in a battery pack? FYI: my Beolit 20's job is to stream Tidal & Djay music, full blast, for a 2hr ballroom dance, every week, so it gets a real workout. For a mono- and very portable speaker, I love how rich and wide the Beolit 20's sound is.

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@127Foxtrot Any battery pack or charger with a USB-C output should be able to power the Beolit, based on the run time you mentioned, you should get around an hour extra from a 2400mAh battery pack

    @soundsheavenly Hi Steve, do you have any guidance on doing a battery replacement on a Beolit 15 please? Can't find any vids online for this model. I've got the tools as per this video, took the rubber feet and used a T15 for the screw removal but the unit only lifts off one side. The other side with the power charge behind the plastic panel seem to still be fix. Help!

    Hi Steve, Quick question please.
    I do have 2 Beolit 20’s and when paired the beosonic seems not to be working, wether they’re on Stereo or Sync mode I can’t hear the difference at all and the app says literally says “Something’s wrong communicating with the product” but when I’m only listening/connected on 1 speaker I can say the Beosonic works perfectly fine

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, this sounds like a software fault as they shouldn't do this. First thing to check is that both speakers are on the same software level. Delete then from the app and from the Bluetooth list on your phone, then install them again and in most cases that should fix it.

  • @harshbansal85
    @harshbansal85 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey man have you seen battery mods done to beolit 15? People have successfully put more batteries in it. Hope you could cover it sometime. I'd love to put 2 or 4 more 18650 cells along with the cells in the battery compartment, that'll be a total of 6000 Or 9000 mah. Assuming we use Samsung 3000mah 18650 cells

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, yes I have seen those mods, neat idea! I haven't tried this with the Beolit 20 as the battery life is so much better than the 15 but I guess something similar would still be possible

    • @harshbansal85
      @harshbansal85 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@soundsheavenly I've had all three generations since beolit 15, but the battery life still hasn't improved by that much. only if Bang and olufsen could use one of those 21700 cells the battery life on full volume could be marketed heavily I think.
      I've also noticed the usb-c cable that is included with these speakers ain't capable of 45w charging. While I use my speaker at near full volume, the indication light just keeps blinking, never stays constant. I tried switching cables and using different PD chargers and the issues seems to have fixed.
      but I'm really disappointed as the usb-c cable has died on me twice. on the last two generations(beolit 17,20)

    • @soundsheavenly
      @soundsheavenly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @harshbansal85 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @soundsheavenly  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is what has been done on the new A5 - the Beolit doesn't have enough space for adding wood frets as the grille is flush with the front of the case but it works well on the A5
