Which rule do YOU think is most important?

Good call with Rule 4. I work from home and also play video games at the same desk. I use a different mouse and headphones when I'm working and when I'm gaming, which helps me with the mindset shift. I really like your idea of using a different color of light though, I'll have to add that to my setup.

Smart! It’s crazy how changing up some simple things makes such a difference. Glad you found the video helpful!

Rule 4 is the reason why I have separate desk set-ups for gaming vs. working. Usually by end of day if I was going to game in the same spot I was working hours ago I would experience what I call "area fatigue" and would no longer have the willpower to game any further because the exhaustion from working would just overpower it. This completely disappeared when I built a whole separate desk set-up just for gaming.

EXACTLY! This was happening to me too. And you’re right, completely separating each space makes a HUGE difference!

What size monitor is that? I'm struggling deciding on a 27" one or a 32" one myself

I had the same struggle! I ended up going with a 27in. For reference, the desktop is 60in x 30in. It works well, but if I had to start from scratch - I’d probably go with a 32in since I mainly use it for creative work.

Great set up, look into a elgato key light, and you are set.
