- World War II veteran Frank Grasberger, 95, treasures a letter he received back in 2009 from a third-grade student thanking him for his service. When the staff of the Vitalia senior residences in Strongsville, Ohio, did some sleuthing, they found the letter writer, Dashauna Priest, who is now 21 - and a proud service member herself. Steve Hartman reports.

I come from a Marine Corps family,I used to write to many military men when the Vietnam Conflict was raging ,i would meet many after they came home ,we dated a few times ,but nothing serious ever came for those dates ,but they were all really grateful.
I loved this story Steve Hartman brings such lovely news to our troubled world today,it gives me hope ,and does to others as well ,especially this sweet man and his wife.

It's not just Veterans...take the time to talk to the older folks. If your working on their house, stay after fir a half hour and just talk. If you see them sitting eating breakfast alone, pull up a chair. Join them. Thise interactions are everything to them. And you will walk away with more knowledge, AND a full heart ❤️
