The Red Longshot is a mythical beast. My quest is to make one as badass as possible, and to do that I've added a lot of parts. In this episode, we finish things up with a new plunger tube, plunger rod, spring, trigger, and pump grip. Is it powerful enough? You tell me.

Since the darts keep breaking, you could put something like a thin tube of metal in the hole in the dart, and superglue the tip on.

@@burtonma07 Some would say i'm a bit of a madlad.
The rubber on the back plate of the plunger tube, is creating a vacuum behind the plunger as it travels forward. Either remove that rubber, or drill holes in it or something so that air can get in behind the plunger rod as it moves
Otherwise, the plunger travel speed is being slowed by the vacuum it is creating behind it, and diminishing fps
You know, I'm...shit, you're totally right. It didn't make sense at first, but when I realized the little rubber piece probably goes over the neck of the bolt to prevent it slamming bare metal into plastic, you're not wrong. Like, it doesn't make complete sense to my reptile brain because it could obviously draw in air when pulling the bolt back since there wouldn't be a dart in there, but I'm willing to try it. Will update.
Walcom S7 I see you got it now, the vacuum loading mentioned isn't at the pusher it's in the plungers tube space as the spring expands it helps to draw air in behind the plunger head more freely for equivalent exchange... of pressure.
If no one has mentioned it yet try the 40cm barrel from Monkey Mods (also a lovely red colour) for this kit. The stock worker barrel is far too short for a high spring load.
For 300FPS hit up Bradley Philips obvi.
The main thing is brass breech, pusher breeches have noticeable limitations. This is like a must have.
And just for lol's go get a OMW 20kg spring
ALSO, 3D printed Shell supports/inserts!!!
Reglue the worker stefan heads with e6000. They won't come off if dried properly, and last a lot longer
You probably need to extend the barrel in order to get the most power from the kit. Monkeemods sells longer barrels for the worker/artifact longshot kit and you can get them in 12,13,14 and 16 inch lengths, and they’re only like 10 bucks

Maybe speak with the Captain about Full Frontal, he will likely have advice on how to get more performance out of it.
i think, the white o-ring is for the bolt-backpiece and the red one for the plungerhead.
the small blue piece is in the right place, but since it is not there originally in a stock LS, it is probably fine to just leave it out.
You should watch Bradley Philip's you'll learn a lot from him. You'll never get 300 out of that set up.
I wouldn't say never. You can hit 300 FPS with less, it's just a matter of tuning. It's definitely possible if everything was optimized.

Walcom S7 well with the peices you have I doubt it. A much longer barrel and you might be able to get closer. Monkee mods sell longer barrels which should help. O believe they will fit what you have
Ben Russell yes Ben, that shows about the same results as Cameron, albeit a little more consistent. But yea, does not comepare to the plastic alpha kit or metal omega kit from jet.

Make sure not to use the Worker lube, it's just petroleum jelly and it works awful for Orings.

Get a longer barrel from monkeemods. Try 35mm. You can't improve your velocity without a new barrel.
I like the colour of the red grip better, but a black grip would suit the blaster better.
Walcom S7 you didn't print the shell reinforcements that fill in behind the plunger tube. Without it the force of the spring during prime is transferred all wwwww instead of -------- to the stock. It can lead to the ribs like the one you snipped cracking.

I think--at this point--blowing the heads off fresh darts is really a point of pride. From a practical perspective it's a nightmare, though.
It's really, REALLY fun to shoot solid tipped FVJs out of. It's blowing holes and denting stuff left and right. I'm loving it.
That white rubber part that you put on the Mickey mouse piece is supposed to be padding for the breech, not the spring rest.
It's supposed to go been the plunger and the breech block. A bit of grease should be enough to hold it in place.

Chang to a brass barrel. The worker kit barrel is too tight for the fat worker darts.
You should call it My Red Fiyaah/fire
duuude to make ur longshot more dedly put a full metal jacket around a dart and name it Ded Pool

If you want 300 FPS you may need the omega ls kit from jet blaster an over 20 kg of spring load
You can hit 300 fps with elites with a 16kg Nerfturf spring and brassed barrel Longshot!!

Jet Omega kit, turf 18.5 spring... 250fps easy no work drop it in...... Also you barrel or bolt is a bit too tight, why the heads coming off so much

the silicon pad goes at the front of the pt, behind the bolt. Plus... worker lube is suspected of being Vaseline, and thats a rubber/silicon killer.
If you want the most powerful longshot, get a jetblaster omega kit with a 22kg spring. I have one and it’s great.

Edit: the Turf 18.5kg spring is the best spring for longshots. Get it from FoamFreaks off of etsy

An alpha kit or omega kit from Jet blaster will hit around 300 with an 18kg spring so maybe try that.

with the worker stephen darts you literally have to reglue all the heads. the club im with did that and now they all work fine once they are reglued on.

I have the complete internals and I will have to add e tape under the o ring one rotation to both pusher and plunger head. Also due to the power of the spring, the barrel isn’t long enough, I recommend the 350mm monkee mods barrel to achieve maximum usage of it. Finally the blue piece unfortunately U will have to cut a bit of shell (I’ve asked both BT and worker and confirmed it)
As for the mythical 300 I’m getting 270 average using 400mm barrel and a 20kg turf spring so close enough

The problem with doing that with heavy spring upgrades is that the force pulling back isn't applied evenly, which leads to all sorts of problems...especially when using 16 KG spring loads. That's stronger than K26 btw.
