@@alfching2499 She was influenced and controlled by her mentor, a bandleader, for whom she once sang and who wanted her to look like Marilyn Monroe. He also wanted her to sing the standards, so yes, she was never a rock chick.
Kathy's voice was superb. I believe she had been classically trained and it shows. Wonderful.🙂

She was too good and out of place for them early 60s.All dues too her she hit the top or near top of the hit parade
