Did a shits and giggles experiment with iphone 16pro. Rode has a recording app for the iphone. Basic but works good. Now for the shits and giggles part. Plugged in via usb c into my phone using the Rhode app for recording a Rodcaster 1, then I tried my vocaster audio interface and lastly the zoom podtrack 4 . Each one was seen my the app and worked 100%. The only thing is to make sure the interfaces are plugged into their power supply. Might be fun to try with the Toner interface.
Rip, rip! For the price, it seems pretty decent. I like that it's all metal, if for no other reason than noise rejection. Reminds me of the really cheap Radio Shack mic mixers from the early 80's. It DOES sound a little darker than your usual interface - like it loses a few dB at say, 10kHz. This might not be a bad thing with a condenser mic and perhaps someone whose voice is a bit sibilant. The weird shutdown thing worries me. Sounds like it momentarily shorted the 5V supply for the USB port on your computer. Maybe a bad capacitor across the power in the interface?
Would buying this instead of the Scarlet be a good decision price/quality wise? I'm switching to XLR on my PC for both gaming and singing and don't have alot of budget to put here. Your opinion?
I have a suspicion the added low end is only because of the headphone amp. Julian Krause often picks up on headphone outputs which, on low ohm headphones, bloat the low end. Even my Evo 4 does it, which is why I use the headphone out on my mixer instead. Not quite as good a deal in the UK, £49.99.
Tonor randomly dropping good gear to remind you that sometimes we cook
lol indeed
got this for my boyfriends livestream stuff and he loves it! the colors are what sold me lol...
I normally could cafe less about LED’s….but this thing made me love them!
That's a cool aesthetic for sure. Price is good too . Should we hassle Julian to do his tests?
I’d LOVE to see him break into this thing
Yes we should lol
Sounds good for the price. Looks sharp. I like the lights. For $39 it would be great to take with you somewhere and get a couple mics going.
What is RAW? How many channels you got bro?
@
Just the two. I’ve always hated the word CHRONICLES. I wanted to change it so I did
@ClayAlanRaw I love the chronic!

Most interfaces do work pretty well with phones and the rode reporter app!

Could be. I need to unplug it and try it on other devices
Nice! Well done tonor 🤙🏾
Weird to read lol
Very cool. Is this class compliant and/or will it work with an iPad?
Great questions. I’ll test it with my iPad soon. Class compliant yup
bro. can u do a review on the Yamaha AG06MK2? Planning to buy one
I’ve been meaning to. Maybe that’s what I’ll do next
Nice to look at and sounds good. I really expected a step in the gain. 🤷♂️
Me too. Quite surprised by this thing
Why does it sound like the sound changed soon as you connected it? Low end sounds nice
It does give more low end

I’d go with this. It’s gonna do the job, and you may never need to upgrade

I heard it in editing and ran back out to the “studio” to add the disclaimer. It was slight, but there to me
@@ObscureMicsI wonder if it's EQ or distortion? If it's below 80Hz, a high pass filter will take care of it.
Cheap but Good 👍
Absolutely!
No latency? Tonor? what?
NONE
Tonor? I hardly know 'er!
Ba dum tsssss
Jesus, what now?
Lol
