Idk if anyone has said this yet but if you’re itching to knit baby/kid sized projects and don’t have any kids/babies in your life right now look into wether or not there are organizations that accept donations for stuff like that! My nana used to knit hats, sweaters, and blankets for preemie babies and for kids at orphanages back in the day. I’m sure stuff like that still exists :)
If you like the style of PetiteKnit and My Favorite Thing you may like Fabel Knitwear. Her patterns are soooo pretty and I think you would really like what she's doing.
Hey! I don't know how is it in Canada, but here in Europe you can easily buy similar leather straps in a lot of hobby or sewing shops. Or on Etsy, there is a ton of leather-work artisans who make these from their scraps of leather. :)

For the hood-let it soak in cold water for 10-15 minutes with a splash of white vinegar, and it will help fix the dye. Rinse it out really good in cold water. That is a super common issue, but very easy to fix!

Try washing the blue with salt or vinegar to set the colour.
