Always fun to see what you're up to :) I bought some yarn online from a bricks and mortar yarn shop and when I opened the package I found they had put all my yarn into a nice organza bag which made sure all the yarn kept its shape and made it feel quite special and looked really elevated! Currently I'm storing them in the organza bags so it's helpful and I thought they can be used as a gift bag if I'm gifting knits too so can be reused. Maybe that's another idea for you that's not plastic 🙂
I honestly love the look of craft paper so I think it's cute! especially if it's also tied with twine ugh !!! also also would you make labels that don't say Typical Bliss but are still like your brand? Maybe with like some silly slogans from your stickers and stuff haha
You could probably package minis by tying them together like a yarn bouquet. I know some other dyers do that for their presentation. That way they look cohesive together, and they aren’t just thrown into a bag. A little bit of twine/ scrap yarn imo is better than a plastic bag (:
Averydayvintage is a vintage dress shop that has the sweetest packaging. No plastic. Its like craft paper with a paper doily and twine tied around it all.
Come out to Kensington Prairie!! Annual shearing is first weekend in April. Food trucks, vendors, FACE PAINTING, alpaca walks, gift shop! Tickets are only 7.50!
For the felting, if you are really scared about it, you can do it in the dryer. And also, since it is a stocking, I would just do it on a normal cycle 40*C on your washer, and take it from there :)
Packaging idea: Maybe you could loosely tie the yarns together with twine or scrap yarn? Kind of how yarn skeins are tied, or with a cute bow or something. That way there’s no packaging waste of any kind!
And for the plastic or no plastic, if you are not feeling the plastic, you could also do big organza bags :) Or just wrap all the yarns in one piece of tissue paper. In my opinion, these options look and feel much more exclusive
I'm knitting the weekend slipover v-neck right now too! It's my first petiteknit pattern and I'm glad it's easy to read. I was intimidated by the German short rows and the increases bc I've never done them before, but they weren't bad at all 🤣
I got that same set of seeknit koshitsu needles on etsy for Christmas! I love them so much. Also your videos are totally inspiring me to start one of petitknit's sweaters one of these days...
I was about to comment the same! My family from Newfoundland wore them. I’d love to knit some from the Saltwater Knitting mittens book some day, but Tiffany’s version is awfully cute, too.
Just finishing the porcelain sweater! Was my first color work project and I enjoyed it a lot! I ordered the yarn for it from Titityy yarn shop online and it arrived in a week! Love your videos btw :)
Heyy Tiffany, I love your podcast ❤ just a take on small businesses closing: I think the problem is not that there's not enough knitters. Knitting as a hobby is having its moment. I think the real issue is the rise of online yarn stores that offer super cheap yarns (like hobbii or even drops). Especially new knitters are drawn to cheaper yarns which is understandable and not everyone can afford to support local small businesses. I think that the ones who have the means to support small businesses and creators could consider it 🫶🏻 because there is no way for small businesses to compete with huge companies (especially the ones with cheap prices because of ethical issues). What do you think? ☺️ I hope this doesn't come off as rude, english is not my first language
yayy i've been binging your lives the past couple of days as i've been frogging some rows of my champagne cardigan (cause my stitch count kept being off for some reason😭) so im very happy you posted
I need to make that cardigan asap😍 currently working on my zipper sweater, terrazzo sweater and my sweater no18, I'll be done with 2/3 soon yayy! I've ordered yarn from you before and I get your thoughts on packaging, but tbh I want the yarn not the packaging and in the end it'll be recycled anyways. So I'd rather look out for environmentally friendly packaging and keep the cost low
using your video to force myself through the last part of my second sock. it’s just a basic rib pattern and i’m borrrrred i want something with lace, but i gotta finish this or i never will lol
Tiffany on why she loves PetiteKnit: Gotta catch 'em all.

The mitten looks like a Newfoundland trigger mitten, it’s a thing. Saltwater knitting has a whole series of books
I was about to comment the same! My family from Newfoundland wore them. I’d love to knit some from the Saltwater Knitting mittens book some day, but Tiffany’s version is awfully cute, too.

RE your amazement to Ingrid's knits...Arieknits had 66 FO's in her 2022 review (TONS of sweaters) and I was like @_@ some of us are mere humans.
Are you still planning that studio Ghibli club?
The plastic packaging is cute but if you go with it, could you add a “please don’t use plastic” option for shipping from your shop?
