Joe, I agree a million times with all you said, word after word !
    I am a 78 year old lady.
60 years ago, when all these so called "drugs" were forbidden and became illegal, I could not believe that the interdiction would persist and last so long. It was so absurd ! I was sure, I trusted that they would come back on these stupid laws (which, by the way, put hundreds and hundreds young people in jail), I could not believe that that idiocy would last.
And here we are, nearly 60 years later and these idiots have not moved one inch.
They know nothing on the subject but they RULE. It drives me up the wall !
So, as a result, people have resorted to substances much more toxic that kill them by numbers ! And the bunch of idiots still don't flinch.
They have deprived humans of spiritual experiences that could have made us evolve better.
All that to tell you how much I agree with each word that you said.
From Paris (France) with love ❤

Dmt, LSD and psilocybin containing mushroom are amazing. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder years ago as a teenage. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Spent my whole life fighting cptsd. Not until my son recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 6 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

I’ll write you this. I went to college here in the States at 17. Native language being Spanish. Arrived freshman year with a thick accent. Took quite a bit of LSD, psilocybin and MDMA trips with my new American friends. Months later my accent vanished. I spoke and still do like a native of the East Coast. My then girlfriend was beyond confused. I attribute it to tripping out of my mind and having to adapt to communicating in that state in a completely different language. I had done psychedelics prior but with Spanish speaking friends.

My point is that I think someone has to be at the point where they want/need to change and they are open to new ways of thinking and living. Then you have the life changing experience, in my opinion of course.

Cops came, paramedics and he later died in the hospital. I still don't know what caused him to jump because he seemed positive at times and also anxious at other parts of the trip. LSD truly changed my life. I overcame years of depression, low self esteem and turned me away from the nihilistic outlook on life I was wrapped up in. It led me on a path acceptance of life and positivity and I haven't turned back to that awful state of mind for almost a decade. This isn't for everyone and certainly won't cure everyone of these mental ailments but thank god it helped me.

My husband is going down south. For a guided experience. I am his highschool sweetheart. I went to school, he enlisted in Navy wt 18. He did 8 deployments. Then after 2020, he finished his last deployments then waited for his time out after doing a desk job. He became a severe alcoholic. Still is now. Surprisingly he isn’t so extreme, I enabled for so long because he became friendlier and we both drink alot. But for him its daily. He is out now, working a factory job at night while school during day. But has become extremely depressed. He said he wouldn’t, but I want my husband back. I actually plan on trip myself. I've done Mushrooms on a few occasions, but never DMT. Can you tell us what psychedelics you used, and try to put into words how it helped you to get over the past? What did you see, hear, and or experience?

    • @pickles_mcgickle6583
      @pickles_mcgickle6583 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@dallasbagley I’ve done lsd and mushrooms mainly. The first few experiences were simply joyous. But the joy like…sticks with you. The appreciation I felt for the good things around me, even as simple as how beautiful nature is, those feelings stuck with me long after the trips. I occasionally would confront things I didn’t like about myself or my life during trips, which I feel led to personal growth. A good example of that would be needing validation from others, that was a negative feeling I confronted randomly during a trip. It also sort of reintroduced me to a vague, undefined spirituality that I never had before as an atheistic young man (23 years old at the time). My buddy and I would often talk during trips about how we need to focus more on how much we love our lives, because we’re so lucky to have them, and there’s so much in the world that’s beautiful, and of course everything feels amazing during the trip but again that general appreciation for the world around me is something I feel every day now. We also talked about humanity a lot while tripping, usually coming to the conclusion that people need to love each other, and cooperate, and come together to find solutions rather than be so argumentative and divisive, that we’re all in this together and our best bet is to live together. There was never a moment where my childhood trauma was suddenly dealt with or gone forever, there was never an aha moment of clarity where u suddenly figure out all of your psychological issues. But from the first trip, and more strongly over time doing them and using them as like group therapy with my friends, my overall mental state has become more positive, more appreciative and the people around me and of my life, and just generally I feel more love in my heart than I ever did before. It led me to be able to let go of a lot of the anger I felt from a highly abusive childhood, and start to move on with my life and discover who and what I want to be. Now this was also with therapy in person as well but therapy had never worked for me before.

Regarding the pineal gland, I genuinely believe it plays a significant role in what makes us different. My own experience has been quite the opposite of normal. I have a 16mm cyst right on my pineal gland in the center of the brain, and it has caused a range of issues. I struggle to fall asleep at night, suffer from tinnitus (ringing in my ears), and my body temperature is all over the place. Even more concerning, I feel emotionally less receptive than I used to be. This experience has convinced me that the pineal gland has a profound impact on the human brain. Psychedelics didnt have me fixing my life they just made it easier to realize what needed to be done.
Eventually finding work finding people i view as family and having purpose in life fixed it.
Psychedelics are a great tool to explore the mind and therefore explore yourself to know who and what you are and by doing so, you realize that knowing yourself is the key to understanding others.

I have a BA in psychology, and I adopted Jung as my main perspective (similar to jordan peterson, we share the same personality type). At like 19 years old, I got arrested with this guy who literally just got his drivers license, and wanted to smoke a joint. My life was almost completely ruined over it, it's disgusting contemplating that militaristic level of control, while regular people for generations laugh and say try it, it's harmless, you'll love it, your coffee is more addictive.. Joe is definitely right, there should be research, there should be counselors (people like me, who deserve a middle class life) that can help people w/the help of psychedelics! The human mind can be a very dark place because our ego's prevent us from being injured by people (we put up damaging walls in childhood to survive); our stored up trauma can play hell on our bodies through the mind body connection; even with something as harmless as Mary Jane, new users are often paranoid, and shocked because, they start looking inward much more clearly, maybe even for the first time (where avoidant before). "Then the paranoia kicks in, am I gonna get in trouble!" Thats all from the schedule 1 nonsense of the past. Alcohol has caused more problems, and the other truly dangerous drugs, and thats where the responsibility in people resides (in other words, don't do stuff that causes self-harm). Stop making criminals out of people, and stop the opioid pandemic at the source, gangs and distribution. I was a blackout drunk for close to 15 years, going bar to bar, telling people "if they would only allow us to have weed, I could quit this horrible piss!" I quit without weed, but it has without a doubt, kept me 100% sober. Never, ever again allow the powers that be, to take something harmless like Mary Jane away. Total nonsense! Lets make criminals out of good young people w/no life experience, who simply aren't coping well. Triggers me, and makes me pretty annoyed in retrospect!
