    I have a request. Cut your shorts to daisy dukes length and wear them in a video without acknowledging it. If this cannot be done, simply give me 6 easy reasons that it's not doable. Your move.

    Really like the truck. I know you said you were adding gauges, and also in another video you mentioned getting a suncoast transmission at some point. Regardless of stock or modified transmission though, I would recommend a trans temp gauge as soon as you can get to it, especially towing in the florida heat. The non lockup converter in the first gen's will build more heat than the later transmissions that have the lockup converter. Once you have a trans temp gauge you can go from there on whether or not you need more cooling. Sometimes im surprised at how hot mine get just sitting in a drive through in drive for a couple minutes. Another thing ill mention. If your transmission seems healthy at the moment, go ahead and buy a low stall converter, and do a transgo shift kit. And go ahead with a billet apply lever, anchor and strut kit which is needed once you up the line pressure. Buy the suncoast converter if you're going with them later on, that way all they have to do is clean it and install in your new trans if they do a build for you. The transgo kit is less than $100. Your truck will pull much much better, especially with a load. I like a pretty low stall converter in a cummins because they make a ton of torque down low and you can actually make use of it that way. The reason I mention this is because it may save you the money of a rebuild if it doesn't need it. My 94, I have owned since 2003 makes pretty decent power and I have yet to rebuild the transmission. I feel like this is due to the upgraded converter and valve body I did early on. You can watch some of my video's, I dont baby the truck and the trans has held up really well. My 01 dually I bought with a burnt up transmission and built it myself with aftermarket parts. Great channel, really enjoy your videos!

    Make a mount for a ice box in the middle, chuck some foam on the lid and you have a perfect road fridge centre console.

    I have a set of seats like that in my Silverado and the console lid broke also. It was impossible to find a used replacement because they all break. An oem replacement was real expensive so I lived with it broken for years but now you can get one aftermarket for a reasonable price.

  • @KeepDriftingFun
    @KeepDriftingFun 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for making this video, been debating on doing a seat swap as well. The bench seat is super uncomfortable for long drives as you said. Would you do the Chevy seats again - having done the swap now? I know they make buckets for first gen rams - they're just hard to find. As for future things to do with the truck - gauges for sure!! Air bags for the rear if you don't have them already. Headlight mod/replacement if they're stock - I just did some Hella H4 E Codes on mine!

    • @KeepDriftingFun
      @KeepDriftingFun 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also highly recommend the BD Diesel 16cm turbo housing! Mine was a 21cm and super laggy. It helped with spool up and makes the driving better. :)

    Taylor instead of getting a lid just find a new center console entirely and update your install. Almost all of those 60/40 bench seats consoles are broken in some way. The lever and the lid just have their little issues that cause them to break but it's probably simpler to get an entire new junkyard console that is better.

    Taylor the seats looks great in your truck what’s next rims and tires or a lift kit or just a leveling kit my son has the same truck he put the leveling kit up front and he put the Chevy hummer wheels on his and they fit he just can’t use the The center cover to cover up the Lugnuts because this is a four-wheel-drive like yours 😊👍

    Taylor your a great welder for just staring out I’m only 20 and I have been doing it since I could hold a mig gun. Your mig welds on your Chevy seats are good if I have any say your welds are good on the heat and all but I think you should go a little slower and take out some heat. Just a thought I don’t know a lot but I know some you are definitely succeeding way beyond what I thought a beginner fabricator could do keep up the great work. Shoutout bro Causey on insta.
