  • Today I tab the KDP in my 1993 Dodge w250. This truck has 406 000kms on it and the KDP had not been tabbed. It's cheap insurance for a truck I want to last another 400 000kms!
    Stay tuned for more videos!

Just did mine. Actually a very simple process. My entire engine inside and out is insanely clean.

You don't use the loctite sealer on the seal that has the red sealer already on it unless you want to have a leak

Hey Tyler, appreciate all of these videos. Been super helpful on my 1990 w250. Wanted to ask about the mahale gasket for this versus the Cummins. [edit] bought the Cummins gasket and seal with wear sleeve. Much better fit than the mahle version.

Awesome video I'll get around to this at some point should've been done by now, but little bit by little bit. Mine has just over 200,000 kms.

@@OvensGarage balancer/dampener just won't budge was prying on it for an hour the other night so I picked up a jaw style puller hopefully will come apart tomorrow. This stuff definitely has never been apart in the trucks 30 years of existence. There's so much oil caked on the front of the block at the bottom you don't realize it until everything is out of the way I don't know how because it wasn't indicating that on the dipstick.

I don’t think It was an issue on our first gens. My 93 has 356k miles on it. Mine has a good detent to it. It pops back and stays there. Did people have issues if the didn’t get the timing pin reset all the way maybe. Good video as always.

Cheap insurance either way! Still heard of it happening on some 1st gens

The pin can back out. But you got as good a chance as getting struck by lightning. The question is what’s piece of mind worth vs. current engine condition/age and costs. For my case I’ll roll the dice
