Funny how in the 90's, Tamiya models almost seemed exotic; I never bought them because they were so darn expensive compared to Revell, Monogram and AMT. Nowadays, most of their car models are almost cheaper than what Round 2 and Revell sell, and the quality is just top notch. It kinda confuses me hahaha! I just wish Tamiya would reissue as much of their past kits as Round 2, so I could get a chance to buy all the great kits that I missed!!!!
Chris, Another great build, thank you for sharing your builds with us. That is a little car! BTW, I hope you are recovering well from your recent mishaps. God Bless
You've never been near a real one? Because the last word associated with one of these was "quality". 36 cubic inches, 40hp, chain drive...yeegads! The build is cool, though.
I saw one of these at a car show some years ago and it's amazing how tiny they are in real life! And Tamiya really does make some nice car model kits as well as other subjects.
What a beauty. Honestly, because it's so small I thought it would be fussy to assemble. But NOooo Chris did it with ease. So how can I pass on this cutie? I can't. It's gunna look DIFFERENT parked next to my 1/24 Cobra. Laugh a minute modeling done right. Thanks for this build.
Excellent job putting this one together. Everything looks great. Very nice work. From your review, this is an amazingly engineered kit. Tamiya did a great job on this one. Thanks for sharing.
I'm gonna look into building kits from Tamiya, Fujimi, Hasegawa etc. Getting real tired of trying to polish AMT turds where "original box art " is a selling point as opposed to quality.
I've been trying it for anything with a really thin attachment point and it's been going good. Sometimes mod podge will be a bit thick and give a cloudy look around very thin headlights, etc so I tried floor polish and like it so far.
Great looking build Chris! Nice kit. Almost bought one of these when it first came out, but I wasn’t building much then. Take care of yourself! Thanks for review.
That would be fun to drive. Reminds me of the cars I used to drive as a kid at Storytown.... Yeah I love the engine detail especially but the whole kit looks very nice. Tempting...
Another great video build. I just picked up one of these. You have to hand it to the Japanese model manufacturers. They really do a great job engineering their kits. I used to build a lot of Bandai Gundam kits and they were always a pleasure. The Bandai Star Wars kits are really nice. It seems whenever they can, they try to hide the spru attach points. Sometimes I wish the American manufacturers would take a look at the Japanese kits. Anyway, this will be one of my first automobile kits. Looking forward, thanks to your video.
I've been experimenting with the floor polish for small pieces like headlights and markers and it's working well. It holds them in with a wicking action. I still use mod podge for window glass as it's thick and holds the parts in place as it dries.

The Honda S500 and S600 were chain driven, a friend of mine had one. Great job Chris.

I built one too! Turned out great and I love Tamiya’s engineering/quality. The rear wheels use enclosed chain drives... 27:30

Be careful! Modern tooling can be strongly habit forming.🤣 Still can't believe Honda built a chain drive car.🤣
It came out wonderful Chris I actually Love Tamiya kits they're fit-and-finish are just excellent

One of your best builds yet Chris. Well done!!
Excellent work! I need to grab one for myself! Looks like one heck of a fun kit!

Wait.....could it be.......I believe it's Godzilla holding that Honda ! LOL. Going to get a few of these, thanks for making these videos
Nice kit! Kinda stuff I like!
The great thing about Tamiya kits, while alittle more pricey, is you know stuff is going to fit
Beautiful job Chris!
since you like to save money why don't you use lacquer thinner for glue?
I noticed you're using floor finish to install windows and lenses. Is that working better ? Great build 🤙🤙

Great looking build… build on 👍

Reminds me of an MGB ( sorta, kinda )
Great build Chris! I'm a fairly recent subscriber, I was wondering why you don't use an airbrush?
I need to start building like this. Building for fun. I need to learn that mot every model is for show and just have fun.
Reminds me of the s2000
Lovely looking build. Great stuff!
The engine is so teenie, tiny
For glass, when do you use Modge Podge and when do you use Pledge?

one of my many dream cars in real life. i'm going to have to get me one of these kits. keep up the great work
That is adorable - I agree. So small and cute.
Said no women ever!
The detail in this kit is amazing.
Great job Chris!!
This honda is the best job I've ever seen it's gorgeous well done p
Wow ! That's another great build man !
Do wheels on these models turn ?
Not usually, last thing you want is a kit you spend many hours on rolling off a shelf.
Cool model. 👍
Lovely little kit
