Such a great player shame he started to get injuries. He played with so much passion and love for the game something our players don't have today won't ever forget his goal against united at Stamford bridge where he did 3 united defenders sure class.
Joe cole is one of those forgotten legends, of all the great footballers of the years 2000 he rarely gets talked about anymore, I wonder why that is

Joe Cole is always one of my favorite player, sadly he always play for rival...I always admired his skill.

Another United fan here, he was so underrated. Technically speaking I think he was better than Lampard.
Much better then Lampard. Cole, Scholes an Gerrard could of git the goals Lampard did but they wanted to be more involved in the overall game rather then just drifting doing nothing waiting for a chance to score. Put it this way he would not of been allowed to do that at Manchester United. You get a goal one in three from Lampard but not much else

I'd throw Robben in. Robben made the PFA TOTY despite only playing 1256 minutes that season (less than 37% of available minutes) very impressive. He was one of the best wingers in the league for a few years despite being a bench player.

@@tottenhamhotspurish Arjen Robben himself wasn't underrated, but the statement was most underrated for Chelsea, and I see far more shouts about Joe Cole for Chelsea than I do Robben for Chelsea.

Great goals but he scored so many more that were equally as impressive, and his movement around the field was awesome to watch. The 06-07 Chelsea squad were amazing, and he definitely was the playmaker of that team.

When I first started watching Chelsea , it was Cole who I fell in love with. Didn't realise that for a righty , he's scored absolute bangers with his left.
Chelsea could be playing with TWO strikers Bats AND Morata with rotation of Giroud and Tammy cmon 4 solid strikers. With Hazard, Willian on the wings. Pedro, Kenedy, Odoi on the rotation. Alonso has his rotation with Emerson. Moses has his rotation with Zappacosta. Christenson and Azpilicueta have rotation with Rudiger and Cahill. Tibo has rotation with Caballero. Chelsea should be having two solid teams available to handle all games. The midfield with plenty to rotate - DD, Kante, cesc, RLC, bakayoko. cmon CFC next year Solid season.

Krishna Widardjo no tbh I think Hazard only just pips Joe Cole. His quality is higher, but his output is probably lower, although he did get 16 goals 15 assists this season
