Deaks. I'd love to see you on more single track. So many of us ride MTB's but stick to XC/single track etc and there's loads of official supported tracks around. I don't know if you've watched it, but Pinned TV did a video of Penmachno that was extremely wet and had to ride through waterfalls on the trail etc. The old Marin trail (Gwydir Mawr & Bach) outside of Betws-Y-Coed is great! There's so much away from the main centres in North Wales and, of course, Snowdon - in the early morning!
I was working down that way and took my bike on a night ride from the hotel, its a good trail system for fitness its like a more hilly version of Swinley. My legs felt it next day I also used the dog bowls to get the shite of the bike😆
I did a couple of laps of the beast a few years back and it was pissing down then. It's ok for burning a few calories and getting some fresh air, and testing your new waterproofs I suppose.
Cycling in the rain is the best, apart of lightning strikes my only regret is that there's no rain helmets available? So I use my trusty ice hockey with methacrylate visor AKA riot police goon 😆
Just found this channel and subbed 😁 Hate to be that noob guy that asks advice I’ve been searching for an e-mtb now for over a month I’ve 4k to spend I’m a big guy (18 stone) just sold my regular bike a cube 160. Any recommendations ?? Itching to buy something to get me out after knee surgery. Cheers.
Being totally honest the market is a hard one to master at the moment as a lot of manufacturers are still feeling the knock on effect of not getting materials.
When it was the only trail down here and new it wasn't bad. Hell's Teeth is the only decent run and even that's not worth the climb. You can't session a trail easily and it's never been looked after so the trails are beat to $h*t. Very much built with families in mind and low skilled ones at that. Only ever enjoyed it once and that was an Ebike demo on boost the whole way round. Lanhydrock over the road is better, a Few miles away is a much better off piste system that Deaks would love.
Good video Ben but I tell you what you showed would be green runs were I live ( North Vancouver) and that one climbs is the exception. But again good video thank you.
Haha. Left foot soaking; so familiar! I ripped around on my gravel bike last week, made it more fun and keeps the skills a little sharper. Think you summed it up nicely. 👍
Despite what people think, Cornwall isn't a well off county and it gets a lot of rain! I guess if they provided a harder red route with a lot of rock gardens, in the wet people will be coming off and trying to sue the authorities for injury?

Climbed to top of Hells Teeth on a normal full sus, in one go this week. Not bad for 56 yrs old.😊 The beast is about fitness more than skill.
Fair play, my mrs would not let me go for a ride on a family holiday lol

Did the Bodmin Beast on my Sled in the summer... very boring and quite painful in parts 🤣 Not one for experienced riders on analogue bikes.
