If you played through the xinyan-childe event in the earlier patches, childe states that scaramouche betrayed the fatui and took the gnosis for himself. Thats why childe went to inazuma to find scaramouche

Tomo's vision lights up because it was his last dream to be fulfilled, seeing and going against the Musou no Hitotatchi, a god's will. And he had successfully done that, now his ambitions will follow his soul, ascending to the skies above 😭

The first half of Act3 was obviously cut and rushed, Teppei storyline should be a side line while the main one should be focused and in action with Kokomi and Gorou.
Some plot points there are simply illogical, like how Kokomi or Gorou had no idea that their men were using Delusions or how they blindly trusted unknown merchant's sponsorship, like, Kokomi is suppose to be a great strategist, shouldn't she be doing background check on people or have informants? And how did the resistance got into town as the traveler is walking out of Tenshukaku? There was 0 commotion in town beforehand when Sara was rushing back from Narukami Shrine to question her lord? And nobody was reporting to anyone about resistance's invasion? They just happen to be there?
If collapsed soldiers in Tenshukaku can be explained by Shogun's mightyness being too great for ordinary people to bare, then why can the resistance be safe from it? Where are the guards and other soldiers outside of the castle if area of effect is limited to the castle only?
Kokomi's constellation Dracaena Somnolenta is a direct reference to the Chinese 3 kingdoms legendary strategist Zhuge Liang (or Kongming)'s nickname "Sleepy Dragon". It's a shame that for some unknown reasons her parts were cut out and changed in the main act3.
Even her character quest was disappointing in my personal opinion, it should have been something that will complete the character, but now it feels like we're missing the previous half, it's like a 2 parts story and you only get the 2nd half.

Fun fact! Had you played the Unreconciled Stars event back in version 1.1 you would have had a slightly different version of the introduction to Scaramouche cutscene since he was in that event. I got the different one and didn’t even realize there was another variation until I saw it on TH-cam. It’s not that different, but it’s so cool that Mihoyo did the extra work to have the two cutscenes.
It is pretty cool!
I wish Unreconciled Star was an Archon quest or maybe even a Fischl story quest. There's a lot of information that's kind of necessary for the lore.

I feel like this line sums up the Inazuma story quite well. Such a beautiful line.
2 things:
1- I ALWAYS tear up whenever I see this quest, either cus of Teppei, Kazuha or Ei. Watching your reactions was amazing and I loved it.
2- You are AR 57!? Daamn! How time flies by, I feel like it was yesterday when I saw your "Reacting to every trailer video" I hope to see a lot more content from you in the future, you are great Bran!

Shogun was shook. That attack is said to be the most perfect and profound sword art in existence, impossible to defend against. In the past it was used to kill a god and split an Island. And Kazuha be like:

@@tilde5884 that's what i imagine happens every time those enemies who heal if they see you shield are doing. "Oh you're gonna bring out Geo-Daddy! Well I've got a whole stack of Sweet-Madams bucko!"
Considering how much more HP enemies have compare to us, it's very unfair for them to also heal, and that's the problem. It's supposed to be a compromise between massive HP and healing, having both breaks the balance.

I remember the first time reaching Watatsumi island I was in awe. I was riding the boat all the way to the edge of the waterfalls and I got a full front view of the shrine. It was beautiful!!

I love the end of this act. The build up, the ost, Kazuha awakening his friend's vision and Teppei that you can see for a few seconds at the end of the Shogun's fight... everything is beautiful!

@@BranOnline I've seen the majority of the well-known TH-camrs' playthrough of this and I have to say, your edit with Teppei at the end is, by far, the best. Well done.
I love how a lot of these twists in this story chapter have some foreshadowing.
The crystal marrow taxes from Ritou being sent to Watatsumi is really suspicious when you think about it, but we have zero context for what Watatsumi is at the start of Inazuma so we all forgot about it. Ayaka mentions early on that she met the Shogun but she seemed more like some kind of executive focused only on her work, which makes sense since the Shogun she saw was only the puppet. Teppei says that he heard the Shogun lost something dear to her during the Archon War, but no one even knew Makoto existed until now.

Bran’s escape route was so unique wth 😂 I love how invested he is to the story, his reaction is, again, everything, especially when he shares one brain cell with paimon. The amazing edit with teppei got me so emotional, and I never even got attached to that NPC. I gotta say, Ei’s backstory in english is so much better compared to CN and JP *in my opinion* because you can hear the distinct emotions Ei has in every scene whereas CN and JP was rather flat and doesn’t make me feel for Ei as much as the english dub did.

and when the scenes kazuha pray for his lost friend, and kokomi also praying in front of a house..

the fact that Ei is this strong without her gnosis and while not even using her actual body but rather spirit or soul inside her daughter puppet .
This was amazing.. really blew my mind when I realized that Ei was THAT strong while not having her gnosis that's supposed to increase her godlike abilities lol imagine fighting an archon who still has one on them lmao

I will never get tired of this quest being the most epic one until now. Story is well rounded, no loopholes, every action of every character has a definitive reason - written beautifully. If only it wasnt watered-down... But at least. It's not done yet it seems. Lol.

OHMYGOD THIS ARCHON QUEST!!! The cutscene with Signora never fails to give me the chills. I love her lore so much and I'm still in shock to this day that she had to go this way. Kazuha's scene never fails to make me cry, and you made me cry even harder with that edit with Teppei!! I was bawling like a baby at 3AM missing my favorite NPC :'(

There's a reason I have Kaeya as my main, he's my best runner with the most stamina. Fighting Ei on a phone with bad internet is a really hard.

Signora OST and Raiden theme are some of my all time faves. Between the electric guitar and operatic sections it's incredible. And the plot, just ahhhh. Act 3 blew me away, loved seeing your reaction!

if i can play devils advocate for a moment: when Scaramouche says "they were always going to die, at least now they can feel powerful", he essentially means that their fate and death date was already decided by fate (as revealed in the unreconciled stars event) and that he was doing them a favor letting them taste being powerful before they die, still does not excuse how horrible a thing it is, but i just thought i should point it out.

Watching this back, it's weird how Takayuki was actually kinda right. He didn't view the vision hunt decree as a betrayal because he views the Fatui as weaklings before the Raiden Shogun.... and the Shogun also views the Fatui as weaklings so she's fine with the vision hunt decree. Despite being a crazy obsessed weirdo, he was actually spot on with what the Shogun wanted.

This quest is by far one of my favorites. Kazuha proving that a character can obtain more than 1 vision opens such a realm of possibility for the future. By Mihoyo's other games, they aren't afraid to have the story take a dark turn. I'm so ready for Semeru next

I was so waiting for your reaction to this. The entire plotline just resonated and pulled a lot out of me. The music the story it's all just damn near perfect to me. Part of the sad part is I can see both sides, but of course in the end the traveler is correct.

You would have enjoyed it so much more if you used traveler. Traveler is immune to raidens silence and becomes a supersaiyan like literally hittting like a truck to Raiden. That's why I use traveler on all archon quest.
Enjoyement is subjective, I'd have missed out on a great mechanic using the traveller :D

Edit: Sara's shoes are apparently called ippon geta or tengu geta. They're typically made of wood and used in traditional costumes, dances, and festivals. I once tried wearing them and they're pretty comfortable to wear if you're just walking

Yeah,... this Raiden fight is the turning point, when team compositions, artifacts, and routine comes around to slap you in the face like a truck...! I love Ei... she is my main dps for a while now with Yoimiya in second.... she is unbeatable since... :)

Now that I'm watching this, in a sense Yae Miko is the one actually playing the role of the region's real leader. Make sense as well as she was the real holder of the electro gnosis for past decades, so Yae from some aspect was the "true" electro Archon rather than Raiden Shogun or Ei.
Honestly from mortal and regular humans perspective Ei fails from so much aspects as a humans' leader, she is more of a warrior and protector from personalities and abilities aspects. Personalities are hard and even impossible to change.
She is too rigid and too stubborn.
But also Yae's cunning personalities are worrying as well to be leader, but then she has the ability to see through things and actually take serious actions, honestly she will more suit for the region's leader compare to Ei.
Nonetheless, majority humans puts too much of our mind and decisions on default mode and doesn't really think through and make our real own decisions, and most people fear authorities, it's impossible for a region in Teyvat to change so suddenly, as well as Archons and Gods do live a long life.
