Part 1 took me literally all day lmao. I started playing between 7:30AM and 8AM and finished at 5PM 💀. (I did take a break from the quest to level up the C.E.O of G.E.O, but still...)
Definitely worth it, though!

Certain world quest took me around 8-9 hours so they really went all out on sumeru

almost 2 and a half hours I love that they started going into more detail, it was long but I enjoyed every moment. I didn't feel rushed at all, I hope they keep this up and don't listen to the hater

I really like all the Archon quests but this one was really good, on par with Mondstadt and Liyue quests in terms of pacing and the story itself is captivating, finished the quest in 2 days even though I wanted to kind of stretch it out but I don't regret it, it was so gripping and interesting

Inazuma wasn’t THAT bad, but the quality of the writing has gotten so much better. Inazuma got better at around 2.5
@@thattrickytrickster612 oh yeah for sure. I was just referring exclusively to the Inazuma archon quests. The pacing on those felt rushed and they banked too much on the cinematic moments while the rest of the story was pretty meh.
I finished the archon quest and…wow I really enjoyed it! It felt different to the previous ones with the pacing, story, new mechanics etc. it kinda felt like I was watching a movie, and I love how it kept me hooked. Especially the 2nd act, but the best thing is, is that TRAVELER TALKED that made me so happy
The Traveler talking isn't new or surprising. The problem is that The Traveler only rarely speaks. Any quest that includes voice lines should be fully voiced by The Traveler at all times. He should be doing the talking 75% of the time instead of Paimon 99% of the time.
That made me happy as well.
I was happy also about the fact that Traveler had so much more personality, at least my Aether felt like he is not just a tree, but a real character with his own soul and feelings! I love Aether, he is my main from the start and I was so in love with him in this archon quest, I even can't describe!

I am happy they are making long quest instead of rushing and finishing everything in one quest like they did with inuzuma final quest
Agreed, I absolutely loved alot of the beats in the inazuma quest but I was severely disappointed that it was over so fast. I ended up nerfing my team to make fights last longer so it at least filled a decent amount of time lol (Beating the bosses with dull blade traveller was definitely a thing)
Fun Fact: if you do a Withering Zone before doing one with Tighnari you'll get different dialogue.
Oh, so just doing one Withering Zone was enough...
No need to be a madman like me and finish Aranyaka before starting Dendro Archon Quest...

Act 1 took me three days to finish because I was too immersed in talking to NPCs, reading bulletin boards, and taking pictures!!!
I love this quest and pacing a lot!!!!
The Sumeru Archon Quest Part 1 is just absolutely incredible!! The music, characters, story, and even the NPCs, were so good!! Best part of it all is that the long duration of the quest does not feel like a drag, you’re engaged throughout the whole story. You can tell the game devs have stepped things up with this, and it’s incredible to think there’s even more to come!!!!
Also… so happy to see you experience your first .0 update!! It’s my first time exploring a new region upon release, and there is so much cool stuff to do!
It's really impressive that yhe devs keep increasing production and you can really tell when you compare version 1 with 2 and now with 3
Honestly the port in sumeru feels better than liyue, i wonder if they'll spruce it up a little
The NPCS in sumeru are big upgrade from the one from the other region I mean don't get me wrong there NPC I do like Cyprus,Madam Ping,Ruu and Enjou but you do admit that most of them are coward who are incompetent tho the Itto gangs are an funny lot it good to see the NPCs do something interesting for once
It did not feel like a drag, but they should have split them into smaller chunks so i dont have to leave the quest unfinished if i take a break. I had a similar issue with Fantastic compass quest.
There are 199 world quests in sumeru alone.
You know when I left the ville and went towards sumeru city by the road, I met a women in the road fighting mushrooms so I helped her, it was a world quest so I thought it would be small but ffs it's been over 2 whole days playing for 10+ hrs but I still haven't completed it bruh.
This quest is bigger than whole liyue and inazuma archon quest combined.
Apparently some people who completed it said it gives a 4 star sword(not a blueprint but the sword itself so idk how we can refine it yet) with high atk scaling(apparently highest for 4*) and em I guess.
And you have to do this quest in order to unlock a portion of the map which you can't unlock.
Now ask for more content 😆.
Bruh I am doing it right now and it's so long ffs. I thought it will end with just killing the shrooms but not I am literally running errands for these cabbages,

@@Kaslana_Yumma_423 there are also a LOT of hidden Achievements all around. One of them requires you go to the Statue of the Seven west of Sumeru City (the one north of Vissudha Field), reach the road at the foot of the hill on the south-east and escort a lone Sumpter Beast along the road to the west for about 5-8 minutes (it IS slow...) without making it going berserk (so, avoid fights or do them way before it arrives on the spot - there's also a Withering Zone along the way, so better to clean that before trying), without losing it along the way (if you go too far it comes back to its starting point) and finally going into an Eremites camp west of the road ... where you have to kill the bowgun user who is its master (and be careful, there are actually two of them; the one you need to kill is near the place where the Beast goes to rest) and spawn a chest.
Even after following the video with the Achievement I had to try it THREE TIMES before killing the right guy in the right conditions - and the respawn of the Beast is quite long.
I have finished the whole chapter. It was really an emotional story, tells me to live with no regrets.
This was by far the best introduction chapter we got so far. Yes it was long but the pacing was god tier, it was engaging the whole time and never felt slow or dragged out. There was a good reason to stick around with each group of character we hung out with, the progression was so organic and it never felt like we were being held up for the sake of exposition. I absolutely loved it !
I was so excited to watch this but then i remembered HE'S in this. I had forgotten that Zachary Gordon had yet to fill the role. The discust from hering his voice has disapated but i still hate what he did and how he tainted my favorite character.
I completed Act 1 + 2 first day and i'm really excited for the TH-cam Video of Act 2 here because this quest chain goes right in the feels. Great start for the archon quests in Sumeru. When a 31 year old man sitting there crying you know they wrote a good story so far :)

i love how they included such things as meditation and hints of occultism by means of dendro archon and irminsul. this kind of ancient beliefs are so unique to the area which sumeru is inspired from and i love it. i matches up with the vibe of sumeru perfectly
So. The Dendro Archon could not heal dunyarzards illness. We learned before that an Archons power also derives from the prayers of their followers and how much control they emit over their territory. So what if that is why the Akademiya keeps her closed off and doesn't talk about her. To keep her weaker. So she can't use all her powers.
hand's down, sumeru archon quest is most to hope and hype for, already finish both act and i felt like im watching a horror movie in act 2, act 1 for me is like going around and get to know and see everything and meet new character's

You make me notice, when we first started in Monstadt, we met Venti first but we didn't talk, we talked to Amber first
Then, in 2.8 when we nearly got to Sumeru, we talked to Nahida but didn't meet her, we met Collei first

Fun fact, Haypasia and Greater Lord Rukkhedevata share the same va. Chloe Eves is her name. Also matches what happened in Inazuma with Anne Yatco voicing Chisato and the Shogun
I just finished the quest a few hours ago. Didn't watch anything so I walked through it spoiler-free. AND I CRIED DAMN YOU HOYO! This quest was sssooooooo GOOODDDDDD!!!
The length of the raiden's quest should've been like this one. It took an eternity 😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fun fact, when Tighnari introduces you to Withering Zones, he has extra dialogue depending on if you've cleared a Withering Zone before. I went off exploring and managed to get a sidequest where you clear one, then went back to the archon quest. Also I hate Withering zones. They're pretty scary. Since your max hp goes down it's pretty easy to just lose a character just like that.
And Dehya is Sumeru's Beidou in more ways than one. Just amazing.
I thought Dehya was Sumeru's Xinyan, pyro claymore and similar voice (ofc Beidou is similar too)
I love how long the archon quests are this time around! I hope hoyoverse keeps this up for the next ones even after Sumeru. It just helps with the pacing a lot and allows you to acquire info without it being too overwhelming and all over the place. I also feel like this and Act II is where I kinda feel similar to the traveler about how frustrating things are becoming and like you're in the same page when figuring things out. Unlike when the whole Khaenri'ah thing was presented (the traveler knowing about it, while we absolutely have no freaking clue - unless you watch the Lumine trailer thing). Can't wait for the next ones!

I already love this region so much. After Inazuma Sumeru's culture is like a breath of fresh air. I'm glad to see people love their archon (Rukkhadevata), not afraid of their archon. Everything is beautiful and a little bit sad. I'm not going ro rush anything, just want to enjoy every second of it.

Finally I come to this Archon quest, which I love the mos, and your reaction is precious
i already finished this quest and i have to say i really liked the story and the quality of it. They added many variations to the npc which is pretty nice and refreshing, the npc characters we meet all feel very alive and memorable. The moment where we sit down with Collei and talk to her while enjoying a meal man that felt very wholesome. During the whole quest there were like 2-3 moments i felt a bit annoyed but considering what i was annoyed about it makes sense that that part of the quest would be annoying and frustrating (i shall not go into details cause thats spoilers for the next part of this quest). All in all this was a good opening to the story of Sumeru

People really forget that we ARE focusing on "finding" our sibling. We already met our sibling and they said we had to reach the journey end so we are finishing our journey to meet the seven while getting any information on our sibling as well.
Well, yes we are still trying to "find" our sibling. since we already met them, it isn't really a journey to find them anymore, it's just to finish the goal of meeting the seven and getting any info on the abyss to maybe get a chance to meet again which I don't think will happen since our sibling is avoiding us

Sadly I'm a bit late to watching this, but finally I have the time now (plus I wanted to first experience this all for myself)^^
I myself just finished the first act yesterday too and I'm just blown away from what I saw so far. This region is huge and so beautiful and of course Al Haitham^^.
But I have to say, from the very beginning I never trusted the academia or those sages.
The way Tighnari mentioned the academia once, the way he said it.
And with every step more we made into Sumeru my suspicions get more and more.
First thing at the entrance, those two taht gave us the akasha terminal said that only RECENTLY the academia suddenly started to hand those terminals to all travellers. And since we get more and more known trough all of Teyvat, I thought they could be doing this in hopes that we come along, get a terminal and they can gather more info about us, so practically keep an eye on all our moves, all our actions.
Then the next point is that the akasha answers to NO ONE so far about kusanali. The former dendro archon yes, but not the current one. And it is the people from the academia that are behind who gets what information. Like Paimon said , people think 'if the akasha thinks I don't have to know, then I don't have to know...' so the academia controls what each individual person will be able to learn and know and don't allow them to learn anything else except what they think they should know. So everything everyone knows is just what the academia gave them...
So I really think that the sages from the academia are really the ones controlling sumeru and everything and just pretending like there is still the dendro Archon that is 'above' them. But it is really them who control all and make sure no one gets any info about the current archon. And also telling that the dendro Archon herself never wants to show herself but I don't think that's the case or at least wasn't in the beginning. I think kusanali wanted to meet with her people, at least in the beginning but maybe the sages told her sth to prevent her from that and after some time, she herself started to believe she was worthless and no one likes her and everyone should just forget abt her.
And all of that because they just can't accept that the former dendro archon is dead.
So they try to make the people forget more and more about the importance of the existence of the current one. I tell you, I think they are the true reason behind this, that no one does know anything about kusanali, they are the ones trying to 'erase' her.
At least that's what I suspect and I won't trust the academia until I learn more and everything hoyoverse will give us for information....
I hope it was halfway clear what I tried to explain ^^'
And so far I haven't started the second act yet (I get distracted so much by the surroundings)
But I will start act 2 today and I just can't waiiit^^
I thought i would do the first quest in a brisk pace and maybe do some exploring later, but i never expected to do the quest for over 4 hours! It might have been 5 since i tried to immerse and talk to all the surrounding NPC, but i never expected it to be so long, i was exhausted after that. They can make em longer i dont, mind, but for the love of god split them into smaller chunks like instead of 6 hours for both part 1 and 2 combined make it 4 shorter parts, the forest ranger act and Sumeru city and Port could have all been their own quest.

note here for Bran thought you might wanna know those who explored Inazuma before and doing a little world quest on their way before doing this part of the Main story got another Textline when they told Tighnari about controling the Elements. Its something like, O you helped another Forest watcher with the withering before nice then lets go

That's interesting I may be remembering incorrectly but because I entered Sumeru from jumping off Chasm and was freely exploring and triggered a whitering quest, by the time I did this, Tighnari didn't say "because this is your first time with the withering" and I don't remembering Paimon acting like the first time she saw a withering zone... I may be high on Naku Weed or Sumeru Mushrooms but I swear my dialogues were different!! 🤔

Nice long video. When I first reach sumeru, it look very amazing. When tighnari mention spiritual borneol, I thinking to my self why he mention the island I live on, the island of Borneo is full of tree. Borneo is a island with 3 country join together, malaysia,Indonesia and Brunei.

Remember, we are dealing with language and culture inspirations that come from former Persia, which covers Turkey, Egypt, Iran, and parts of India. These are languages wholly different from Germanic (Mondstadt), Chinese (Liyue) and Japanese (Inazuma).
ARE WE NOT GOING TO TALK ABOUT "PAIMONIAL WRATH" 🤨
PLEASE do the Aranyaka world quests after the Archon Quest! It's long but sooo worth it! Also, it'll trigger many mechanics necessary to explore the rest of Sumeru.

48:16 thats always the case everywhere. cause bloaty floaties. robot enemies that drop missiles on you for a measureable eternity. flying windy bois with lethal attacks that become literal sitting ducks if shot with a bow... more robots that turn into metal boxes. guys in high places, ease of throwing out elements at long range for puzzles without needing cooldowns...just... it's just really good to have a bow a lot of the time.... and a claymore if you're a mining/resource collection addict...
