Trying to build this was such a task man. I had a problem with one of the wheels where the snap ring fell off ( My friend was an engineer and knew a lot about this and I didn't) I waited about almost 2 months or so to get new wheels (if I knew about the wheel sooner probably could have been using it already) I also had a problem with the left side levers where it couldn't catch on probably so. Once everything was installed correctly the machine was pretty damn good. I made a few adjustments. For the metal foot pad, I put a Door Protection Plate and bolted it on so I can go a little wider which worked out perfectly. For the hack squat, since I'm taller(6ft), I put a few boards on the metal part where your feet are, and perfecto. I started putting resistance bands and the machine feels 10000000x better. Also putting wd40 silicone lubricant spray on the wheels and where the side of the wheel up will help a ton also. Like he said do not tighten everything super tight but make sure you check everything every month or so to make sure it's not too loose. I guess I have the older version where I don't have that bar for extra weight but I just use all my rogue thin comp plates (kinda jelly that I don't have that =D). All in all, with a few adjustments, I think this is a great machine. There aren't many videos but from what I learned when you're about to put that back pad to install the machine I would try to put the machine on its side and then install the back pad because it's pretty heavy. Good review man!

      Thank you!
On this model the only problem I came across was one of the bolts on the foot pad was stripped and its popping out. The other three bolts are nice and tight so it’s holding good! Using comp plates will deff get you more weight on the machine rather than using bumper. 👊 to leg gains 🤟🏽

Nice video! Just wanted to point out that you have the shoulder pads reversed. It will be more comfortable when the pads are angled correctly instead of inward, and the hack handles will be flared out instead of pinching into your head.

Do you think the pads on your shoulders should be pointed out instead of in?

For me the very limit of every machine build like this is the fact that with only two horns for the weight loading, you will be soon reach the max amount of plates that you can phisically place. Some machine like atx had long horns , but in the most of the case are too short for leg press average load capacity in my opinion.

Great review. As Titan dont ship to Europe, I chase the Powermark 800 LPHS, similar machine but à bit less well designed, the titan one seems smoother and easier to adjust

How much squat depth can you add by adjusting the platform?
My wife is 5’, so I’m wondering if she’ll be able to break parallel when hack squatting

I’m sure she will there are 4 adjustments on the foot board! I’m 5’8 and I put it at the second slot.

Just thought to add, I don’t have this machine yet (on shopping list) but I’m just over 5 ft and normally on hacks at the gym I add yoga blocks on the shoulder pads or add a few wooden boards or foam flooring squares at the base to basically increase the range of motion you can use before hitting depth on the machine. Take my yoga blocks everywhere as shoulder pads or seat boosters at the gym. Life of a gym hobbit 😅

thought I needed a 45deg leg press but instead got the powertec compact hack squat leg sled used $250, and powertec bench leg press attachment used $100. Save me a small fortune and space.

I had this piece. On one of the wheels where the bearing was wore out and I had to replace the wheel from Grainger, titan doesn't sell parts which I think is one big problem from them when it comes to these pieces that has a lot of parts. Besides that it worked well

Do you have a link to the replacement you purchased from Grainger? The bearings on mine glide nowhere near as smooth as they used to and ive been looking to replace them.

Can you do calf raises on this like you can with commercial gym decline leg press machines?

For the head pad, you have to take the nuts off of those 2 bolts. They screw directly into the head pad. The step are just out of order with those awful instructions haha
