There's definitely more variety, but also half the decks I face are First Sliver goodstuff or ramp decks. The more unique match ups are a nice treat though
@@soybomb777 tbf that is just because you are using a "similarly powered commander", use a weird commander and you'll get plenty of verity. My Glissa saga deck rarely sees the same commander two times in a row let alone any 5 colored ones
As someone who likes mass land destruction in brawl, its common knowledge that you don't blow up your lands until you're ahead on the board else you'll just get stuck.
In game two you could have used Eternal Wanderer's +1 ability to exile a creature for a turn. This can be especially effective on commanders as I have seen many players send their commanders to the command zone and concede when they realise you killed their commander for free.
@@haveiszalfaroqie That goes without saying. And misclicks happen, people tend to just click "take action" most of the time. @user-sl5xy3sr7h And if she's already on the board?
I love how you saw Laelia commander and basically went "I win in 6 turns gg." Very cool deck btw, just too bad it's pretty much void against a certain leyline on turn 1.
I'm surprised that you didn't find a place for black market connections. Especially in this type of deck. Can ramp, help with card draw and create chump blockers to protect your planeswalkers or can be used to pressure opponent/their planeswalkers. Unbelievable card in my opinion.
I think that sheoldreds edict against the tamiyo might have been a misplay- I could be totally wrong, but I think it sitting on the board is less of a threat than the opponent possibly having some way to generate mana and getting a chance to replay it (of course, it being 6 mana at that point does make it unlikely) or if they had some way to reanimate planeswalkers.
Unbelievably poor play from the nissa opponent at 30:10. If he ultimates and attack for 19 trample. He can replay nissa the following turn and do it again for a very easy win.
The Kari Zev match was what most of my experience in Brawl has been lately. Decks seem to just play a ton of removal and hope their opponent quits. If you stay in the game and get an advantage they quit immediately. And honestly, it works, I quit games on a regular basis because I do not want to spend 10 minutes staring at an empty board.
If my opponent just plays a pile of sweepers while I'm trying to do cool things, I just concede. There is no point in slogging though them not enjoying the game thile they get enjoyment from making the game longer and doing nothing cool.
Yep, duressing on turn one and seeing a grip of board wipes and counterspells usually draws a concession from me. Just not worth the time to play it out even if I still had a chance to win
@@soybomb777 for sure, literally nothing on the line for the game, I'm not wasting my little free time being miserable playing against that. It's boring

Love the historic brawl content. I appreciate that you go all in on themes the commanders represent. Thank you for all the amazing videos.
That Narset game ending was hilarious... like they didn't understand how Sundering Titan worked until it was too late.

6 mana is a little bit more than free
It is only effective if the player doesn't know the actual interaction.

That game 1 was fantastic! Love to see it!!!! 🤘
I wanted to use "Deification" in a brawl, but didn't seem to find a good envelope, until Tomek arrived, pretty cool card.

It’s a great card and I include it in almost every black deck! Felt like the life loss was starting to add up, but can certainly find room for it.
I never knew you were a fan of Evenesence, Luca! xD
What's a card you should never play in Chernobyl? A Tomik.....
Ok, I'll see my self out.
Love superfriends decks, my favorite archetype!

does anyone know why the yargle is on a bunch of random cards like swords and fatal push
Secret lair/random fun alternate arts
he's a meme, so they made a bunch of alt arts featuring him!
The tamiyo deck was so cool! Consider building that
Not being able to have Tomik and Ral in the same deck fills me with sadness.
15:18 pretty well-timed BM from Kaya
Would definitely throw in Invasion of Tolvada for even more Planeswalker recursion but other than that im running this!!!
I love Brawl so much
It would be dope if you could tell us about your thoughts on each match after you win/lose.
33:12 "Subscribe to the Channel?" I see what you did there. Cute.
What made you decide not to include any of the 1 mana discard spells? I always feel like those are a must for black decks.

thoughts on Spark Rupture?
55:50 "this was a close one"
Just took first life damage of the game and opponent has 3 health.
Would The Elderspell have any utility in this deck? or is it usually not worth it?
I would like it more if we had a higher number of Planeswalkers with a powerful ultimate.
When will The Irencrag stop being "new"? :D Great video as always
When we get the next 2-mana artifact 😉
