The old speakers sounded pretty good, the new ones sound good too just with a bit of added treble for clarity but other than that not much difference. I would have just left the old ones in. The new ones had some slight distortion when you cranked the volume. I think the old ones were better for that system.

Good effort but slightly pointless as you replaced components for a set of coaxial ... tweeters pointing at your ankles aren’t going to do much good.

true, but they can still bounce of the walls next to your legs, but yeah component would be better, especially because it has no air leaks in the middle of the cone
less noise from the car door vibrating trough the middle part of the speaker

the sound is much clearer and louder, I can give the volume to 30 or more, before it was ok because there was noise, now there is noise from the door :))

original sounds much better, you downgraded your speaker for a woofer with high mass tweeter mounted on the cone it’s a terrible design there is a separate tweeter in the door so you just need a woofer, woofers have to be low mass to move quickly enough to produce bass accurately
