  • Danish Lighting Designer Niller Bjerregaard and Volbeat have been a sworn team since the band's early years. No question that Bjerregaard also staged the latest tour with glam, galore plus an untamed pack of new Martin Mac Ultras. After the pandemic, the renowned Nordic rock band could finally get back "on the road" and thrill fans with their blend of rockabilly, metal and punk. Bjerregaard and Tour Manager Guy Sykes explain to EventElevator the current show concept of the „Servant Of The Road World Tour“. D3 Operator Jean-Luc Williams expands on this with details of the video concept, and Monitor Engineer Pat Rowe reveals his interesting method of measuring in-ears with the tricky MiEMi adapter. Dennie Miller is on board for the tour as FOH as well as System Engineer, sharing his experiences with the fresh Meyer Sound PANTHER speakers. Brace yourselves…

      You're so right. He's one of the nicest guys behind the lighting console. Danish Dynamite with a heart 🤜❤️.

    I really like this setup, even though there is a big videowall as a backdrop. Normally i don't like this, but here it harmonize with the light riggs.

      Thx Fabian, sure, MAPP 3D is a big step. Dannie really has a lot of experience with the band and the way he set up the PANTHER arrays, the sound was really awesome that day.

    There are a few videos now from different Volbeat tours. They are allways very nice and fun to see, Also enjoyed this one. One thing thou that I would have liked Niller to mention was the followspot system

    • @EventElevator
      @EventElevator  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you Amanda! Niller and the crew always make sure to have the best light for the cameras. Besides good coverage from the sides, follow spots are of course on the tour. The operators are located backstage and there are 3 ROBE RoboSpot positioned. They use them to control ROBE BMFL FollowSpot LT and BMFL Spot units.

      You're right. Let's see, maybe we can get a closer look at the world of rigging in a future story.

    This is pretty cool!
    I managed to catch them on the USA Tour with Ghost in Milwaukee, Wi.
    And also on there EU tour in Zürich, Switzerland.
    Both of the shows were awesome! The sound and effects really did a great job on them!

      Lighting and video design blend pretty well in the new Volbeat stage design. They did a fantastic job - but they always have.

    Funny to see him with his digico vest in front of an avid console. I hope that doesn‘t make his desk misbehave.
