For punching to stun the deception: At a higher power level (surviving a melee) you can instead have the blessed teammate melee first and run away (deception is now primed) and unblessed teammate can punch afterwards, allowing the blessing to stay and continuing the fight more easily.

Honestly man they’re some of the most fun I’ve had in any video game. You should give them a try. I have really bad social anxiety so it’s hard to be comfortable in that environment for me, but almost everyone I’ve ever run into in raid LFGs have been super nice and easy to talk to so it became a million times easier. If you’re interested in raiding, I’d start with Eater of Worlds. It’s the easiest raid I’ve played because the mechanics are super simple.
Great guide, the only additional thing I'd recommend is trying out Izanagi's Burden, for any players having trouble taking out Wizards/Knights/Ogres in these encounters. You will one-tap the Wizards/Knights with x4 Honed Edge at very low power levels, and around 725-730, you will one-tap the Ogres as well. Being able to instantly remove these threats from the encounter at any range was such a huge help to my group's success, and haven't seen anyone else talk about using Izanagi's, so I figure I should throw it out there.
Yeah, that's what I'm using. Midnight Coup, Loaded Question and Anarchy. It's super good in my experience. Don't have Mountaintop so IDK how well that stacks up.
This was definitely tough and really just comes down to proper timing and coordination with your buddy and then the rest of the team. Once you got that it’s mainly just staying alive.

Using a bubble to bait little chungus is an extremely viable strat as well. You won't have to worry about bunny hopping and you won't have to worry about big chungus missing his swing
One thing I would like to add about part two of the encounter. The same thing applies when stunning the deception with the buff as part one. So if the player with the buff primes the deception, and moves away real quick, there is a short window where the non buff player can break the shield and the buff player won't lose their buff. Just a good tip to make it easier to keep the buff. :)
Telesto works wonders for keeping you safe and dealing shotgun like damage to the knights and ogres while being able to clear acolytes in one ground shot. Prepping the ground with 3 shots exactly where the night spawns will kill them at higher light (720+)
My team has found for swapping buffs during damage it is easier to stand beside the blessing ball thing and then just have two people shoot when it gets low, to maximise up-time of team DPS.
Phase 2 - Bonus tip for Deception stun mechanic! Teams stunning their deceptions (and removing the their blessing from 1 player) too quickly in succession can mean the buff is removed from all players (meaning no one can reapply it to others). This requires coordination of (usually) the last active blessing players to not only survive at all cost but also make sure the blessing is applied to those who need it. My team did this: player who didn't have the blessing for the Deception tag team slap, be the one to seek out the buff again ASAP (We would go to a designated spot and request buff players to apply w/ us) while other player is in charge triggering the big boi slam.

This may sound strange. The way my team done it was to drop all buffs at the start of damage phase so no one had it. This allows the pool to respawn meaning a simpler transition to phases 2 and 3.
@@ryankendall3716 Im 728ish, my tarata has box breathing with major so it should be a 1 shot if not a easy tap with outbreak to finish it off, my long good bye takes like 3 shots and has no damage buff (it's the 4th time with high impact reserve roll) it's less a damage problem and more on range and versatility I'm on PC so sniping is no problem but not sure if LQ is worth it with it's mid range over Tarata which might have a ammo problem or something like that is ya that's why I'm asking also I think maybe sniper is more worth bringing to take out the ogre that way I don't have to over rely my super
Don’t swap the buff to anyone the first time in phase one. You can just pick it up on the ground after you kill the bigger ads. Then you and one person from the second section can pick up the buff and then do the big swap with the last group
How did this team manage to kill him in one phase? Granted this is a year old now. Were they using the boots that prevented any reloading before those boots were patched? Also, when my team did damage phase we only had two chances to be shooting him in the face but this video shows 3. What are we doing wrong?
The best load out for phase two is mountain top, recluse, anarchy/1000 voices. Then you send two titans with peregrine greaves/ Anarchy to take out the ogres ( use middle strategy ) then for damage you shoot him in the chest with anarchy to create a triangle/square then mountain top him in the face while standing in a well and you will one phase. Hope this helped
why do you not favour middle tree sentinels? they fill a similar role as a well-lock and they stack. so again, why are titans being torpedoed into irrelevance?
My team was able to push Gahlran from 1/3 to half health with weapons of light. I think it's a trade off situation. If someone uses WoL, then everyone who is doing DPS will be doing more damage but if all of you are all using Outbreak then it means less damage stacking

Polygon's CoS guide recommends ending up with 3 blessed and 3 non blessed guardians. Your video instead suggests 2 & 4. Now obviously 2 & 4 means 1 extra damage phase, is there any point doing 3 & 3 in your opinion? Also I think it's a very big deal to determine in which order the blessed players will in turn punch the boss to remove the shield and avoid 2 of them going too close at the same time. Is there a strategy to determine that order?
No one in my group had mountain top so we ran Jotunn/Telesto and a sword. Only left clicks. The people without buffs were easily pulling over 2 million damage in well while the people with buffs shot from a distance and joined the sword spam when it was their time. We managed to two phase the boss with that strat so I would recommend swords for less coordinated teams maybe

Enemies in Part 1 are 725 Enemies in Part 2 are 735 If you have a consistent group with you and they still don't have Outbreak then you might need to delay your raid to get them Outbreak.
Not trying to be mean here but, if you can't find a raid team, that's on you. The app offers an lfg that is great and joining clans is easy and you can meet people. Its easy to find a team but some just want to cry it out I guess.

definitely also works, only issue is that you need to deal with the thrall the whole time, but if you have a way around them, then that's totally fine
Datto If your team stands on top of something then the thrall can’t attack you
11:50 if your buffed player melees first and gets out of the aura before the non-buffed player hits the deception then it doesn't take away your buff
