@@beng290 cc: @Aloysius Kurnia no, custom levelpacks. there are undo related bugs in baba that work consistently enough that people have made advanced puzzles out of them. quick example: if two kekes try to push the same object in different directions, the keke with higher priority will push it. destroy one of the kekes and undo, and the newly "created" (undestroyed) keke will have a different priority. edit: but yes, meta is kind of like that too and meta parts of levelpacks can make use of it as well in a less buggy way lol
This is honestly the second best puzzle game. Behind baba. There is no game that’s more fun to watch other than those two. So glad to see this one again and I can’t wait for custom baba levels
I loved watching the witness. I liked the idea of no instructions, as well as the open world layout. I also liked the mysterious storyline. But the best part of all was BEAM.
I don't know how they added so many islands without messing up anything from the previous islands. You'd think the game is completely different know when starting over from the beginning
There are quite a few in between levels that aren’t puzzles. I imagine they must have had some way of organizing levels and rearranging them even for just making the base game. I’m more curious as to how his original game transferred to the new game. Think about it. New areas of fog just appear on the map. While everything around it is clear. The game needs to look at what he previously cleared, and decide what parts to clear on the new map
@@matthewhubka6350 I think it's not TOO complicated, any content that was changed gets fogged up. There's some islands that were changed from the base game and fog is put over them. And of course entire new islands just get fully fogged up, not too complicated. I imagine they had to go through a bunch of fog clearing triggers that existed previously (to de-fog large parts of water) and change them, though, but that's not really visible to us players/viewers so it's hard to judge. At the very least it's an impressive update no matter what!
@@dakkenly I think the altered reset mechanic breaks the speedrun more than anything else. Resetting an island will clear out any foreign log, unless it's birch. And the speedrun route HEAVILY abused multi-islands and resetting.
that snowman puzzle at the end of the video has a slight alternate solution. It's the same up until 15:35, then you reset the left island, push over the bottom left tree to the right, then raft over to the right island. You then reset the right island, and create the raft below the rock (as there won't be a tree in your way like normal) It took me a while to solve it, so watching this gave a nice surprise, finding out there's actually two solutions
This game is so well designed it blows my freaking mind. I haven’t solved any of the puzzles, because I just keep thinking of how much thought went into each island
they also canonically eat rocks, as the description of a chunk of granite mentions it is "very tasty", and the main character is a featureless black blob with arms and legs, and is strong enough to rip trees in half with their bare hands, and the windmill plaque mentions that "human air is made of a mixture of gasses", implying monster air isn't, so clearly the anatomy of monsters is vastly different to humans.
The island he was stuck on at 14:40 was one of the rare moments in this series where I figured out the puzzle before him, and it's always infuriating when he doesn't figure it out as fast and I just have to get second-handed suffering. It's even worse, though, when I go through this only to realize my solution wouldn't have actually worked. Thankfully, this was not one of those times. Edit: Fine, this was kinda one of those times. I misunderstood the assignment, and figured out a solution to push a raft to the left of the island that the logs started on, which in retrospect, probably wouldn't help in any way. At least it wasn't completely wrong though.
Really strong lightning just struck near my house and the thunder sounded like a bomb went off. The shockwave was giant. I really think it was a bomb for how bright and loud it was. Really good it’s not a bomb.

It's funny to see what the game calls everything
It's also funny to see what Tyler calls everything :)

Wow, that snowman was the only thing in the entire expansion I needed a hint for, and he did it before doing the normal solution. Flabbergasted.

The art in this game is sooooo good
Like the different type of trees and the grass and snow go so well together
"adorably stubby little claws" (11:45) implies that the writers' claws are much, much longer.

It would be interesting to see you tackle the puzzle game "Spiral Scouts" as it is one of my favourite puzzle games :)
