Thank you for another great video. Such simplicity - no power tools and no loud noises - just the way I like it.
this vid has been here a very long time and is still one of the bwes as are all of his videos.
Robin's eye is very sure. I was amazed at how confidently he turned the curves in the handle. Thanks for sharing his work!
Moving backwards can many times be more truthful and practical than as they say moving "forwards"
No backup required for this lathe, quick stock removal and satisfactory finish!
It would be nice to revive ideas from the past for the home kitchen also.
A really nice video!
Mr. Fawcett you are officially my hero, my respect to you sir. I have been searching for carpentry videos using non electric powered tools, and using antique carpentry techniques and as for what i have seen on this video you are a professional on this matter. I'll be looking forward for more videos of yours of this kind, also i want to suggest if you may using your skills to make home appliances also man powered, thank you!
Thank you very much for this beautiful video and congratulations for Mr. Fawcett teaching us the the importance about ancient tools.

No power tool used and the idea both are excellent.
Bravo!
beautifull skills, this for shearing
Nice work o the turning it looks like the Bungee cord helps to smooth out the operation quite a bit by eliminating some of the jerkiness Created by a stiff line
marvelous
creativo y recursivo buena idea
NOW ! ALL ! I ! NEED !! IS ! TO ! CONVERT ! THIS ! INTO ! METAL ! ( STEEL ! ) AND THERE'S ! MY ! BELOVED !! SPINDLE !!
That's amazing! And done in only 14 minutes start to finish?
bravo l'artiste
Fantastic stuff, do you still need to make sure it's dead centre in the lathe or will it find it's own centre?
the bungee rope was good made a lot of sense
It will find its own, but the closer the turner sets it on center to begin with the more pleasureable the turning and less waste.
Men, you are formidable! ;-)
wow...those chisels are scary sharp
I envy that he has green wood to work.
Kool
do you make your own tools, if so can you make a video on how to make those
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👌👍🤝
🇷🇺 👍👍👍
why that loud music out of nowhere? :
Ever cut the cord with a turning tool?
He turned that pole alright.
I've been thinking about getting a pole lathe, but was worried I didn't have enough head room in the garage for the bungee to be high enough. Just seen what you done here with a pulley, so now I'm no longer worried. Thanks for that :-)
