How is 4 good for all means? I was hyped for it when I first got to the cinema, but the movie configuration was 💩. The movie however was a classy one. That still doesn’t rank my opinion any high than a low B tier. It was good for the first 3-4 minutes. Eventually fell off. Movie doesnt stand out well as compared to Kung Fu panda 4 I know people have their opinions, but Rise of Gru wasn’t all terrible. It was a sequel of a prequel, but the second did better. Young Gru is a symbol for a good movie, or atleast felonious Gru

Idk but I feel like the fourth movie kinda made the third movie feel non cannon. An example would be the retirement of ramsbuttom, I didn’t understand how he came back in the fourth movie, after he said he retired from the third movie or another bigger thing would be the complete exclusion of Dru, which honestly I would have loved for him to be in the movie. Idk that is all I have to say.

I kinda wish the conflict had Dru be more of bad influence on Gru's kids instead of just splitting the group up for these side-plot. I feel like that would've given more stakes to Gru's inner conflict of staying good or being evil again.
I want to mention one thing and that is how it looks like Dru would be loved my the mom and Gru would be loved by the dad witch seems pretty interesting seeing that the mom and dad chose the wrong kid when they separated

Another instance from the same episode: the boys play with the weapons in an anime like sequence, but then Butters gets hit in the eye with a shuriken from Kenny, therefore the boys try to hide butters in order to not get in trouble for playing with dangerous weapons.
I think the theme of this movie is Identity Gru, having been kicked out of the AVL and meeting his brother, doesn't know what to do next Lucy wants to be a better mother for the girls Dru wants to be a villain like his family but doesn't know where to start And Balthazar, after losing what made him who he was, ended up making that his entire identity

The animation itself is ok. But the problem is the excessive use of motion blur. Every time a character moves motion blur is used, which is why it looks weirdly smooth. It was obvious in Sing too, and it seems to be a style Illumination has taken on, because you notice it in the 4th movie too.
