You can see from the beginning how happy Risey is to be getting all the special attention. He's a smart boy, and I think he will learn fast. I'm glad he likes Bauke! Lol
Today is a great day, to see Risey train and impress us all. Many of the Herd are still praying for a complete recovery! He has come a long way and will continue to get stronger and stronger. I was thinking, “Risey is doing what he was bred to do and loving it.” All of the videos bless me so much everyday, as Yvonne and Bauke share their lives in raising children, dogs and horses of different breeds. ❤❤❤

As much as he denies being a horse guy, the horses clearly like and trust Bauke - Risey drifts towards him, Reintjie had no issue with him being in the stall with her newborn. We'll get him driving the ponies in a cart, yet!
Risey is so beautiful and I'm sure his mind is running so fast as he's trying to do what you want of him and he's trying to keep up with the other horses outside in the pasture. Love how you are keeping him so interested in your lessons. ❤❤❤
I thought with his Wobbler Risey he would be a disaster but he is not. He is as uncoordinated as any normal young horse finding his balance and really has improved surely. I’m so happy. Maybe his growth and being energetic naturally has helped manage his condition.
Ok, after watching this, I am running to my computer to book the river cruise that runs through Yvonne’s back yard! Anyone have any clues as to the cruise line? Can you imagine riding by and seeing the herd in the meadow? Be still my heart! Risey looks great! Yvonne’s decisions on his life and care have been spot on. He is happy and doesn’t appear to be in pain.

Goedzo Risey! Yvonne D -- is the plural of Beestje Beestjens or Beestjes? Does Friesian plural put an "s" on the ends of words that end in a consonant -- such as hynder(s)? I'm trying to learn the language and my "Dutch for Dummies" doesn't discuss that - lol! Books on the Friesian language are sparse in the US -- but I do have one. Thank you!

According to GT, "beestjens" means "beastly," and "beestjes" means "beasts." If there are fluent speakers here, maybe they can let us know if that's correct.
Rising Star looks good. He seems to have fairly good control of his hind end. The only thing I notice now is he tends to put his hind feet down hard at a trot. Not really clip-clop, clip-clop but clip-CLOP, clip-CLOP! He’s not cow hocked like he was before & his hind end doesn’t dip as low when he speeds up. He’s definitely improved & learning to cope with his wobblers.
He also doesn't seem to have any major coordination problems when walking back. Apparently this is the movement where problems with Wobbler become visible at a very early stage.

Our Risey in training. I saw a family friends whose horse has wobblers and is doing just find. So I absolutely believe Risey with his positive character and being in excellent hands will prevail. He is an absolutely beautiful being. It pleases my heart that he has an special female friend. Risey has been given the chance to live. But is'nt that what we human ask of those making our life and death decisions, a chance to live. It's absolutely chilling to know that our lives can be in the hands of peoples that make our life and death decisions. At least we humans can draw up Wills. Horses don't have that means.

Even though Risey has been raised with Friesian Horses, I think it's important to remember that he IS NOT a Friesian Horse. He is a KWPN Horse, with a completely different temperament. He will never be as "Chill" and "Willing to Submit" as a Friesian Horse is. Considering that, I think that he is doing extremely well for his Breed! This is, after all, only the third time that he has been lunged. Plus, he is still very young. He just turned three years old a few months ago. Yes, Risey is doing well and wants to be in the pasture with Yfke, but his lunging will help him more. Think he's getting some idea concerning what his workouts are all about! He is getting more like his sire's coloring all the time. He is beautiful and a talker! His improvement is noticeable to me. He tries very hard to do what Yvonne wants him to do and it's paying great rewards. Yvonne's training is helping Risey greatly! Onward and upward!
Of course you often need two hands for Risey, horses are strong animals but it's wise not to let them know how strong they actually are. You're the boss! 😊
