S.D.I or "Star Wars" refers to the defense part of the US strategy against a nuclear attack called MAD or Mutually Assured Destruction. The doctrine's premise is that no one would dare to attack the US because it would mean MAD-ness or Mutually Assured Destruction. This is my favorite song by Loudness. On a side note, many songs of the era dealt with this same topic like: Nena's 99luftballoons, Rush's Distant Early Warning
