We're playing the third and final of the new archetypes that debuted in IGAS - Ancient Warriors. These former Senkas are extremely fun to play, have a cool, unique playstyle - and are woefully unfinished. They only released two of the three kingdoms, for god's sake. Let's see if we can make do in the meantime.

But it makes so much sense. Start with two of them, as generic XYZ support. The third musketeer is later released to be their XYZ boss and then later on the fourth kid the op one that gets them as a one card rank 4.

here's an idea, let's make them a column based archetype like mekk-nights!

And then let’s say that those kingdoms did exist in the past and that people did think there were in fact three kingdoms. So, while keeping in mind those three things, interesting how there are not actually three kingdoms, because in reality there only seem to be two kingdoms.”

After playing so many Dynasty Warrior games, seeing Wu as a WATER attribute when they've always been represented as Fire triggers me to no end.
Came for the Ancient Warriors, stayed for the...depressingly accurate Shapiro.

extrav seems like kind of a stretch on this one, especially with that extra and generally wanting to get rid of your opponents negates before using extrav. at least you can super poly in the standby. i get why extrav though, this deck is hurting consistency wise. hopefully further support helps things in that direction.
edit: oh, i forgot to shout out that bomb ass skit. definitely in the top 10, possibly top 5

I strongly urge you to revisit this archetype. Lu Feng's inclusion in the TCG has greatly increased the ceiling and consistency of Ancient Warriors.

Great Video man. Give the deck another try with their future support. The fire warriors can be really useful, especially Zhang Yuan, and Thousand Arrows is an incredible addition to the Spell lineup. The link is also really good, although it's more of a win more card than anything.

Will in lore there wu , shu ,Wei and jin is after the three kingdoms ears half . His Zhang fei , Guan yu lui bei , Zhang Liang , sun something the dad officers lu su and Zhao yu both are straightest for wu and mostly wei color is in the games are like purple

I understand extravagance gives you a draw two in a pinch, but you need to look into other cards. You considered desires? That seemed to be a better card for the deck.
They are actually pretty good with kaijus, give the opponent your kaiju, bounce it with sun mou and kaiju him again
Well to play Ancient warriors now without the coming support an option I've been using is Kaijus 1 copy of each and Kaijus capture mission. Seems ok but certainly you can't do anything going first.
with all the new support thats coming out can you make an updated version of the ancient warrior deck?

You could do some much more with the hands you had, on the second salamngreat you coulded ended with 5 on board, returned 1 to hand and at the end still a dweller , and so on

It sucks YGOPros rulings on resolution of symbal skeleton you have turn player priority for quick effects you couldve super poly'd and made dingirisu miss timing which wouldve been awesome
No, dingirsu is an on summon effect (trigger effect) trigger effects always activate before ignition effects which is where a player has to actively use a card. It wouldn't of missed timing anyway because dingirsu is an if effect, not a when effect.
Hoping for an updated Rokkets video since they are now more meta relevant.

Did ygoprodeck get worse? They use to be able to import decks, and show images of the decks. It doesn't seem to be able to do that anymore.

I hope so because the new support is so good that it is basically mandatory for the deck to function well.

Kinda shocked, I feel like rn the deck would do very well with some FF support, a Bear here, a s/t popper there, them being beast warriors doesn't help outside of searching the FF spells/traps, yes I dare say play a few of the traps
The romanization of the Chinese names is inconsistent with every other romanization of those names that I have ever seen. It's Guan Yu and not Guan Yun in Dynasty Warriors, the Romance of the Three Kingdom translation I own, Wikipedia, and many other things. Why is it different here?
I looked it up; the cards are apparently inspired after Romance of the Three Kingdoms characters, but they are not the characters themselves, which strikes me as kind of odd. No one owns the rights to them, they're either historical figures or they've been in the public domain since forever in the case of the characters the novel made up (which doesn't even apply to any of the existing cards anyway), and many of the names are so close that it seems more like a mistake than anything else, especially with Guan Yu/Guan Yun and Zhang Fe/Zhang De. Defence of Changban also references Changban because it's a reference to an event during the Battle of Changban, which was both in the novel by that name and a real event that actually happened. They also look just like a lot of depictions of them, anyone who has seen Guan Yu in anything would be able to recognize Guan Yun as being him. Seriously, why not just use their actual names?
That's because their not directly translating their names. It structure is their family name + a portion of their courtesy name.
For example: Liu Bei--> Liu Xuan(de)
Or
Zhuge Liang--> Zhuge Kong(Ming)
Because it's not worth any of the possible repercussions from China
