One issue this game has is that when raiding enemy airship you die most of the time before doing anything because of the long time it takes to get there and the fact that there is usally a lot of defenders killing you from all sides before you can do anything. This often happens even if they go through a hole in the sides.
You are supposed to attack in a "hit-and-run" manner, get in, plant your bomb (hullbreaker or dynamite), defend it and fight off defenders, after it explodes either fight a bit more to cause havoc to the enemy or just respawn.
Personally I find the slow character movement to be an interesting thing, as it forces players to actually plan ahead and communicate with their team about what they're gonna do instead of rushing solo. It is a game that requires cooperation after all. But I'm most likely biased since I only play crewman lol

Glide fast, or move frantically so no bullet can touch yiu

Uh, maybe get a better Strat than running in plain sight in the cargo room. Or. deck, and if your cannons do something, it’s easy.

Airships were something underated.
Not really. A giant balloons filled with flammable gas. They were quite dangerous (for their own crew) even when they weren't in the middle of combat
