Hey Brian lil additional info for our viewers.... Folks as per usual common sense prevails here. Especially with hood liners on newer vehicles such as in this demo you should be fine but once you get into the realm of daily drivers that are 4yrs old or older these hood liners have degraded from the heat and dirt but look ok to your eye. Not only can you damage them but they will now retain any water no matter how little because it has basically become a dried out sponge. 30 yrs experience in auto body has taught me this. The now wet liner will continue to drip back onto your clean engine bay making it a mess. Just a cautionary word that's all. This is an awesome tool for the job.

Thanks for another great video of the Krause and Becker (KB) use in automotive detailing! Quick question: have you tried experimenting with different sprayer nozzle tip sizes? I'm curious if a small nozzle tip (say, 0.011 in) would work better in spraying water, when compared to the nozzle tip that is included with the KB unit?

I moved from a house to an apartment (Texas to Oregon) and It is hard to get use to the limitations, and I all the freedom that living in a house implies. My apartment has a common garage (building) and the builders or owners made sure to eliminate any faucet or electric outlet. I really enjoy cleaning my car, I like clean things and Portland doesn't have many coin operated car washes. I liked the idea for the airless paint sprayer, but my options narrowed to be battery operated. I decided to buy the Graco hand held airless paint sprayer pro. I had a similar gun that I used in my home in Texas. I know they are powerful almost as their cousins the electrical cord ones. It is super expensive, but no other option if I want to save water or time. I will post more after this weekend and see how it works out. The limitation is the liquid container is really tiny, but it is good it forces you to save water.
    UPDATE:
Well, I washed my car using the Graco cordless. It has pros and cons like anything else. You save so much water, it is just a mist. I think the K&B wins hands down. I think it (K&B) has more power that a battery operated sprayer. I sprayed my hand with water and it is just a mist, your hand gets wet, but I don't see much force or anything. that it is the part that I don't like. I didn't think it is going to be like a power washer, but I was expecting a little more power.
The great thing is where you aim, you get the water right there. So it is easy to wet the car, so you can get it wet before you apply anything so it will work better (ONR). You can even put the ONR on this machine. Another problem is that is heavy and your hand will get tired after awhile.
I am at sitting on the fence with this one. I will try it one more time and see if I keep it.

Similar machines like this made by GRACO list thins such as "Annual use recommendation is up to 125 gallons per year", I dont see any recommendations for this machine.
I'm guessing the recommendation is made because the pump inside is only good for XXX gallons. Being that as detailers once can easily go through gallons, I wonder how many gallons the pump on this machine is rated for, and how much a replacment pump would be.

    • @apexdetail85

Being a pump made for thicker fluids suck as paints...plain water is much easier on them. Just purchase the storage fluids if you only use it sparingly.

Does he take the trunk parts off to see where all that water went to inside the trunk and dry it everywhere he put it???
I guarantee he didn’t! Now you have mold and rust starting!
Who knows what’s in the cleaning agent he uses and what it eats! When it eats what is it eating!
Document what he does to your vehicle and take pictures and notice what starts to be eaten!
    This is not a joke!
Detailers don’t have a clue mostly about mechanical anything or electrical anything!
Pay attention to what they destroy with their so called cleanings!
I bet you’ll see many things once you pull the vail off!
Oh my light in back don’t work! Oh my elect is doing weird things!
Oh I have corrosion in spots all over and the copper is corroding for some reason when it shouldn’t be!
Oh I paid thousands to fix electrical when it shouldn’t be breaking down!
I have it in a heated garage all the time and never drive it in rain or and precipitation at all!
Why am I having these problems?
