Could you please explain the letters and stars on the adga papers? I know it has something to do with milk production and showing but don't understand it all. Thanks.

I am planning on showing one of my dairy goats into a 4-H show next week. This really helped me understand more about it because I have never done anything like this before and I hardly know anything about it. I have been trying to get my goat halter broke. I noticed that none of the goats were wearing a rope halter, they just had the collars. My goat isn't used to a collar because I've been using a halter. Is me using a halter instead of a collar going to be a problem while showing?

Brilee Culbert hello! I would definitely start using a collar. They aren't very happy with collars at first so you don't want it to be their first time when you walk in the ring. Start now with a choker collar every day until then. Make sure you have the collar all the way up under the chin holding the head up high. It will give you total controle of them. I have another video called working your goat to get ready for a goat show. It may help as well :). Glad this video helped you out hun! Good luck!!

Did any of your kids do 4-H?
I know it teaches a lot of life skills.

Okay, I have a question. Did the show colors change? I'm noticing that the show colors are white shirt with black pants. When I did Dairy Goats in 4-H (which was years ago (god I'm old -_- )) it was straight white.

Hey there, I believe the shows preferred all white but they allow black pants

You don’t have to have a doe to show in dairy goat

The poor babies did not want to be pulled around. I would prefer if it was just adults. The babies were not happy☹️

    • @sarahlaughter5342

The adults would have acted the same way, just much larger, if they weren’t started as babies. Goats can be very dramatic!
