This quartet is amazing. All of the players are amazing musicians and are of the highest quality playing. Not to mention they fit their roll perfectly.

This interpretation makes me want to cry, yell, scream, explode, and die at the same time. It is THAT GOOD.

Wonderful performance! Definitely THE BEST performance of Op.18-4. Great passion and intensity. Very convincing interpretation - the piece is played as if it's a story. Amazingly beautiful sound (especially 1st Vn). I hope they record all the Beethoven Quartets.

    強さと繊細さを 徹底して両立させるところがベートーベンの凄さ。それを 妥協なしに追究した素晴らしい演奏だ。ぜひ他の5曲も聴きたい。

    Perfect attack
    Perfect intonation
    Wonderful verve
Great respect given in choice of name
That’s two perfects a wonderful and a great before you get to the music!
P.S. strange idea that Belgium doesn’t produce genius - who more than Beethoven?

Beautiful! This version is really inspiring. The sound and images are great. Pity that they don't do the repetition in this movement. It's so necessary!

This wonderful bunch remind me of the Guarneri String Quartet during their "high tension Beethoven" days all those year ago. The Guarneri were often on the edge and really exciting but these guys are equally exciting and amazingly just a little more accurate than the Guarneri. I love it.

Agreed. I had a college professor say that you don't need to move expressivity in order to play expressively. Those words struck me. So I toned down the body movement a little.
