Such as in a room chilling out, or going out for dinner, driving in a car. Therefore in islam that marriage will be considered consummated even if intercourse did not occur. The fact that he has seen her privately, can fantasise about her, lust after her, touch her, a million things can be done without intercourse. The rules are different when a woman has simply signed the marriage contract but has never met her husband in private.
