Why particularly 4 months and 10 days are to be observed? 4 months are ok to observe right. But why these 10 days again? This is my doubt please explain
This is law ans based on some logic, law framers beleived that 4 month is not sufficient for observing iddat so 4 month 10 days time period was laid down according to me, it ia similar as 280 days has been laid down under indian evidence act for determining the legitimacy of child
Ten days on top has no logical reason, it is from Allah. Remember that in the olden days there was no seven days in a week, and there were no thirty days in a month. I dont know if this time format had been started when islam started, but its a question i definitely need to ask mufti tariq masood. So if a woman is not menstruating, and she is divorced her iddat will also be three months with ten days on top.

Isliye iddat is observed
Nai, sirf pregnancy waja NAI hain. Budi aurat ki bhi iddat hoti hain, bewa ki bhi hoti hain. 1) aurat iddat meh na homeless hoti hai na hi us k uper three months ka financial burden hota hain. Us ki iddat us k husband k ghar hogi even after third talaq.yeh hua iddat ka faida aurat ko. 2) pregnancy meh talaq tab tak effective nai hoti jab tak baby baby na aye, ya miscarraige na ho jaye. Is liye the baby will ALWAYS be born to married parents. Its not possible in islam for a baby to be born to divorced parents. A pregnant woman cannot marry another man. This is all to protect the babies identitity. Bad meh us ko koi harami na bholy. 3), mard k sat bhi insaf Allah karta hain. Talaq mard ne di hain. Aurat agar divorce k liye apply kary toh us ko khula kehty hain. Islam meh talaq ka nuqsan MARD ko hota hain aurat ko NAI, is liye mard ko barbadi se roka jaye, us ko apna mind change karny ka mauqa mila jaye is liye us k pas itna time hota hain reconciliation ka jitna time lagta hain for the womans three menses. Nikah EK talaq se toot ta hain. Bewa aurat ki iddat four menstrual cycles hoti hain, agar woh budi hain toh four months and ten days according to the islamic calender. So one month more than a divorcee. Woh is liye k duniya dekhy aur samjhy k husband aurat k liye ek naimat (blessing) ta, aur woh blessing cheen gaya hai us se. Ta k husband kya hota hain, head of the household, us ko appareciation mily jo aaj k zamany meh nai milti. Bewa k iddat ka criteria bhi divorced aurat se tora sakht hota hain.

Baby का delivery होने के बाद ही किसी भी lady का इद्दत period खत्म हो जाता है l
Hnji.... और या फिर आप बोल सकते हो कि अगर लड़की का गर्भपात हो जाए तो इधर पीरियड खत्म हो जाता है
Lakin yaha per ek bat dyan dene bali h ki baby ka janam ya uske death kab hui h
Agar uski shadi uske husband k marne ki bajah se khatm ho rhi ho to use 4 motnth 10 day ka iddat period kaatna padta h, or agar wo us time pregnant ho to agar baby uska uske pati ki death k 2 month baad hi peda ho gya tab uska iddat ka period khatam nahi hoga balki use 2 month, 10 days ka iddat leriod or kaatna padega mtlb 4 month 10 days ka total katna padega
Or agar uska baby ka janam hi uske pati k mrne k 6 maheene bad hua tab use tab tak iddat period kaatna padega jab tak ki baby ka janam ni ho jata, matal ki pure 6 maheene iddat period kaatna padta
Mtlb ki jo longer period ho wo kaatna padta h,
