In 12:52, how the woman has right to lien only by the husband's consent, since you've also mentioned that it can be availed by the widow wife only. How she can take the consent from her dead husband?

One thing that I saw many articles and notes in all those it was written that mahr is consideration of marriage so can you please tell your source where it is written that mahr is not a consideration of marriage
Kindly refer justice mahmood definition of dower, in paras diwan or Aquil Ahmed...both the definition I.e, of justice mahmood and of mullah is given. Just go through it you'll understand easily.
but dower is given back to the husband after divorce, then how can it act as a deterrent to the husband's unrestricted powers?

The third dispute relates to the remission of dower by the wife. It is obvious that remission would only be valid if it is made by free consent and not due to coercion. In “Shah Banu Begum v. Iftikhar Muhammad", the wife had remitted the dower so as to prevent the husband form taking a lover. It was held that the waiver was void and of no effect.
