- The raid on the German airfield at Sidi Haneish resulted the destruction of 30+ Luftwaffe planes during the North African Campaign of WWII. Lead by David Stirling, the raid's success by 'L' Detachment convinced British command of the commando group's strategic value and ultimately created the Special Air Service (SAS) of today.

I today discovered this channel and right away subscribed. It is very nice concept! The animations and effects are also done in really good quality. The only problem is that in some videos sounds of engines/fire overcomes narrators voice...

The balance seemed fine but the overall audio on this one was real quiet for me. Other than that fantastic work, the animation of the casings at the end was top tier.

The animation is stunning, do you have an entire team doing it? The fire looks so real, and the physics for the casings and pieces of belt at the end were really good.

Do a vid on the Hughes wire guided TOW missile.
Also, Hughes made a counter battery radar, mounted on battleships. In Beirut, the radar could detect a artillery shot at the US Marine Barracks. Before that shot would land, the battleship would already have a salvo of 16" shells, heading to that artillery's firing point.

where did you get the information about that it was french commandos in this SAS attack? (the beginning of the SAS) which was on these raids?
Hello there, thanks for your comments. There were only a few French commandos who participated in that raid, but was a British operation. In the subsequent chase where groups of jeeps split up, Stukas bombed one group and André Zirnheld died of his wounds from the attack. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Zirnheld
I'm surprised this mission didn't make it to Call of Duty 2 since some of the British campaign are conducted in Africa. That would be badass tho
