Other than the groin shots, that's legal in mma. You are leaving yourself open to near side arm attacks as well as strikes.

Striking to the back of the head/neck is still illegal in MMA. Claw to the eyes is also illegal. And really, I haven't seen anyone do striking like this.
You use your head to take away the space of that near side arm. Pretty standard for anyone with a wrestling background.
There are the attacks from the top too, 100%!! That's just not covered in this short video. This all happens super fast, and it is always about who is better in the moment.

@Evolution Jeet Kune Do - Sifu Joel Ledlow not much power generated from those strikes, might get a warning. Missed the eye gourging. Your near side arm is in a lot of danger from attack and isolation from the top person's legs. A far quicker escape from that over extended side control is to post on their armpit and do a Turkish getup

I’m not showing you the “answer” but rather a point to begin exploration.
There is a tremendous amount of power in all of those strikes. I’m “showing” the hits in the video, otherwise I’d run out of training partner pretty quickly.
Go explore. It’s always easy to say this counter or that counter could be done when watching something done slowly. It’s another thing to feel the possibilities when working with a partner.
We’re all exposed to danger the entire time. This would be a 1-2 second exchange, not a 1-2 minute exchange.

@Evolution Jeet Kune Do - Sifu Joel Ledlow You are showing a tremendous lack of understanding of how to fight off your back.
There is very little power generated from those strikes. You have nothing to drive off of, your hips have very little range of motion, and your back muscles have little ability to engage to create force.
I've been training and trying things out for 15 years regarding ground fighting as well as clinch fighting and striking.
There are ways to stay safe in this position, but you are exposing your arm to be broken or your back taken. If you think you will pull this off in 1-2 seconds, you are mistaken and are showing that you haven't ever done this against a resisting opponent.

15 years? Nice! Probably no way my 35 years of experience in training, application and teaching would ever offer anything you haven’t seen. 🤔
But sure, show me a video.
