Guys, Let's face it: The IAU doesn't care that you see Pluto as a planet or why. What they said is final and all we have to do is accept this. Especially since it's been 18 years since Pluto was demoted. It doesn't matter to the IAU if you think Pluto is a planet because your grandpa told you that. Pluto is a dwarf planet; if you want to keep thinking of it as a planet, fine. Just know that you can't protest to the IAU that Pluto is a planet, because we all know how that attempted protest turned out.

I may be wrong but I'd think it would be advantageous if we placed permanent information hubs in orbit around certain planets in our system once AI gets developed enough to maintain orbit and self repair the hub. At that point we could do much like our eyes do (binocular vision allows greater interpretation capabilities of things like distance and depth) but with telescopes at different points to observe the cosmos around our solar system in greater detail while also being able to gather data on the planetary systems they orbit.

Therefore, what everyone accepted as truth long ago dies not always hold forever as knowledge and discovery continue to expand. Whether it be nostalgia or just stubbornness, many people think that Pluto no longer being a planet somehow robs them of something that they cherish, or in some way diminishes Pluto itself, which of course it does not.
