I find Theo's interviews with guests incredibly insightful. He's got a lot of heart and common sense. and his willingness to be vulnerable and open up invites his guests and listeners to let go and enjoy. He ALWAYS makes me laugh. He says the most random, hilarious shit. I think he's a gem.

I first saw Theo on MTV Road Rules around the year 2000. I was a kid & thought he was cute & funny but also had a deep side that intrigued me. Show ended & I forgot about him, Fast forward to 2023- my teen son wanted to show me this funny clip of Joe Rogan interviewing this guy named Theo Von. As soon as I saw his face I was like “WAIT HE’S FROM MTV BACK WHEN I WAS A KID!!” then I listen to the story he’s saying & I start crying laughing. I’ve been hooked ever since, the things he says makes me either think he’s literally in my brain, or that he has the most outrageous silly brain that nobody but me would ever understand🤣🤣 He’a pod/vids helped me during dark times & I’ll forever love this pure soul!💙☺️
What makes Theo so relatable to me is how he talks about his mental issues and how confusing they are, he doesn't even seem to understand them, it's very similar to how I feel sometimes. And he's not stubborn about it, he acknowledges he doesn't understand and doesn't know the true path.
Remember, you’re only seeing a side of him. Be as happy as YOU can be without them. Most people are just okay, with rare moments of happiness - but even those moments aren’t as intense as others may think. Substances don’t grant happiness, they grant relief. Hopefully whatever you need relief from can be gained. Wether it’s your own thoughts/personality, those around you, memories or what have you. But, if you can’t live without them, then keep using until you can live. But remember - the longer you use the more difficult life will be. Good luck man.

Theo is genuine. Bill Burr was, but the past 5+ years has changed for the worse. he seems like he's not saying what he would have before or what he's thinking
He shines with regular people and takes the piss out of big egos like Schaub. The plumber and mortician he interviewed were really interesting if you like the sanitary engineer. Theo can make anyone comfortable and if he slips in the odd story about a kid with a wooden shirt you go with it and appreciate his genius at off the wall views.
My best friend was on his podcast as a "regular person" mitch. The episode titled "A Carny". Mitch said he was very cool in person and they've even kept in touch ❤

I’m glad finally someone said the cancel culture stuff isn’t really that serious. Starting a joke with “im sorry if this isnt PC…. I dont know if i can say this anymore but…..” is just so corny to me. I’ve heard the dirtiest nastiest jokes and never once thought “that joke was funny, but i wish it had a disclaimer before he said it!” I know there will always be a corner of people on the internet thousands of miles away from your reality who get up in arms over jokes, but they only have as much power as people allow them. Also, if you lose your job at a private business, because of the things you said….. maybe you shouldn’t have said it and expected no consequences?
The last part, im speaking more of people who say genuinely racist shit or stuff thats not even a “joke” moreso exposing how they feel publicly. Of course you shouldn’t legally face punishment for your 1st amendment, but your employer has a right to can you for misrepresenting them.
Ive been wondering why people liked theo von! I also wondered why people like Tom Segura or Bert. Theres a bunch of podcasters im curious about. Like i listen to PKA, MSSP, Kill Tony, Tosh Show. Theres a bunch but i really try to stick with the really good ones because i don't have that much time!!!
