Speaking from vast farm experience…. That bearing is going to last exactly until the moment it doesn’t!
When I worked as a mechanic for some farm equipment repair company I see stuff come in with bearings that just had the outer and inner shell, balls worn down to dust. And they never ever made a weird noise or anything, they just all of a sudden broke :P

What a blessing to see family helping each other, time to get shocked by a small motor on Gramps irrigation system, fix the tractors PTO and paid generously for the effort with eggs. That made me think about my youth, growing up in a farming community and longing for those simple times. God bless.
Not only that ....grandpa gave Michelle to Paul in pre-payment...a gift that keeps on giving !!
ME AS WELL...2 COWS (I MILKED EVERY MORNING @ 6 My cat Snowball was always there to get her shots) all by hand...2 Pigs made bacon for Farmer John on Western Av in East LA...& 1,000 layers grain fed...we had best eggs in Ontario...hand candled!!! 1 Block West of Euclid is Fern...PROPERTY IS BURIED UNDER WEST BOUND LANES OF THE 60 POMONA FRY...& YES...I MISS THOSE WONDERFUL DAYS...CALVING OCCURED & I FED THEM...FUN...CALVES ARE GREAT TO HUG AND BUT HEADS WITH!!! THOSE I MISS THE MOST...& SNOWBALL...

AFTER HE GREASED IT...THOSE TEETH MESHED AND IT ROLLED AGAIN...ANYTHING THAT MOVES MUST BE OILED...THE BIGGER IT GETS THE THICKER THE OIL...
Too many of the guys like you who gained popularity on youtube have fallen to the temptations of bigger better and more like Overhaulin or Gas idiot Garage. Don't change Paul, your channel is interesting and awesome the way it is.

@@stubbingtonmarigold3032 I don't know why you would lump Cletus in with overhauling or GMG. They sold out to discovery. Cleetus is doing his own thing his way. He's got a hell of a lot more bills to pay to do it now but he's still pretty much the same goofy good time guy. He just has a more serious race program and fleet now.

That is a beautiful stain glass FAB RATS. I was wearing my olive drab green hoody at the store & a woman came up & said her husband & 13 year old son loves your FAB RATS channel. She asked wear i got my hoody from she wants to get a shirt for her husband & son. Told her if she could wait 20 minutes cause I was done shopping & she still had some more to do . Came home got my order form & gave it to her .I crossed off my info told her Michelle was very professional & she want have a problem. Thank goodness I gave it to her because she was talking getting a couple coffee mugs. Told her the story thats the bad website because you don't sell coffee mugs! Grandpa Dellis' (Sp?) laugh reminded me of my fathers! It's been nearly a decade since he passed, but your dad's laugh and side look instantly brought back a flood of great memories. Thank you very much for the work you all do and putting the wonderful people you have surrounding you here where we can all share in your lives. :)
I have 4 sons and none are as good to me as you are too you’re father-in-law! Very lucky guy! Not to mention! I just love Paul’s mum! She has kindness written on her face!

Love the stain glass your fans are amazing. You can protect it by making a wood frame and put panes of glass on both sides easier to clean protects it from the elements. Love seeing more of your family and Michelle’s homeplace such a beautiful place.
I've had the local glass shops make up a triple pane, with the stained glass in the sandwich (just gotta drill a small hole, to equalize pressure), for many clients, works well...

You could put that stained glass in a light box (probably make one to fit) and then you can hang it anywhere and it will light up and look amazing!
The glass panel needs a light box hanging on the office wall.
Wow that just brought me back. My grandpa was a hay farmer, I loved going and working with him. And working on the tractors was an everyday thing. Great video.

Yep, that's my job on the ranch, fixing stuff that was built before 1950, and last greased around 1951.
Great job on the weld repair! Maybe check the spokes on the wheels. looks like at least one needs some welding.
I was wondering why he did not weld while he had the welder connected. Details, it is all in the small details.
@@JD-iu3vi Maybe he did not see it from his position, but then again the camera-guy should have seen it....
The spokes are threaded on both ends, and most of the time a few broken or bent ones will cause no harm to the wheel line
Paul is a good son-in-law for helping Michelle's Dad with the farm equipment. Hard times when you have no power because you get spoiled when you have it. 😊

Had a few engines without kill switches, a zip tie on the coil wire makes it much more friendly to pull!
could also bolt a piece of tin strip onto a headbolt bend it so it will have a gap on the plug then push the tin down to the plug when you want the engine to stop just push hard if you let up you might get a zap ..

@@devilselbow as a kid I started working on mowers .. and if I pushed down on the metal tab but not hard enough to hit the spark plug. I would get zapped.. learned real quick too push and hold..
That was the funniest thing I have seen in ages. I am laughing out loud here. I remember years back getting a shock off a spark plug, The spark plug lead had come off on my Ford Fiesta. spun me around across the street. I'll never do that again.

OMG does this brings back memories......... when i was small!!!. People would come far and wide for my grandfather to fix things for them. And back then people had money but very little,....... Grandpa got paid in chickens, turkeys, cows, well calves, colts, geese, goats, fresh milk, cheese, cream, oats, corn, hay, so so many fruit jellies and spreads, cakes, pies oh the lists goes on.. I miss them days my grandfather and grandmother taught me so much... And like you Paul and Family i carry that tradition on,.. especially abroad. Their dreams are my designs.
My pop in law passed away a couple years ago. Still miss that man, good on ya Paul, this one brings me smiles.
Laughed when ya got shocked. My dad used to check for spark by arcing from the tip of his finger.! Hope you welded that wheel while you were at it!

As i have heard normal tight is 2 ugga-dugga's. Farmer tight is somewhere around 4-6 ugga-duggas or close to broken bolts. Grade 8's help because they can handle most farmer tight.
I remember freshman autos class in highschool rebuilding small engines, mine and my buddies kill switch didn’t work and it was stuck open throttle. He tried pulling that cable about 10 times before he finally gave up😂

My grampaw worked on lawn mowers all the time. One of his life's favorite things to do, was to get his grandchildren to help him check the spark on the lawnmowers. Yep, it was like a rite of passage in our family. We all survived, lol.

I always found it funny as a teenager when all the boys are leaning into the engine bay looking at an idling engine ,,,,,,, say “it’s the plugs” as I stand up and rip the plug lead off.
The circuit then goes through me to the ground the up through the boys and into the bodywork they are leaning on.

That bearing will work til it won’t.
As a guy that works for a very large bearing manufacturer I just CRINGE every time a mechanic uses a hammer to seat a bearing or presses it into place using the inner race. If the bearings weren't 'too' bad before ---- they will be toast soon!

My dad was a fabricator- welder and grand dad had a dairy farm. That life style gives you so many skills and disciplines to bank on later in life. I would know. Recently retired from the structural and industrial fab world.

-- Back when I was a CC grounds keeper, we had a string trimmer with an exposed plug. Must have zapped my elbow on that thing ringing trees a dozen times a day. You never get used to it, but it is silly.
