In this video I will walk you through how I fixed the two major usability issues on the Korg Electribe2, and I’ll also show you the timeline of the various Electribe models, to help us understand how and why these ergonomic problems were introduced

I have used those stickers exactly like you to group knobs together and to differentiate their functions - both on my grey Electribe and my Novation Circuit Tracks. I don't know why I never thought of just getting knobs in those colours but I'm doing it now!
On the Electribe I ended up not using the stickers, but instead swapping out some of the knobs for ones from an Arturia Spark - also grey, but a different shape and ridged, giving me a tactile reference to the groupings.

good discussion. A lot of us think the ESX was the best usability! with plenty of knobs. They oversimplified later on, perhaps to lower size / cost?
Vj ive noticed a huge psych trance videos not made when the e2 has been out with filer and res used a lot for them swooshes ,all tho its perfect e2 is for goa trance and organ house, bass lines

Might try grouping my knobs too, makes a lot of sense.
My red sampler 2 has darker rubber and brighter lettering so I can read the buttons. The gray one has lighter rubber and darker lettering so it is difficult to read.
I have some muscle memory but sometimes I just wanna see what to press.
I recently made tiny hand-writen lables on printer paper which i cut out and glued to the grey e2.
I also glued a vertical strip of paper in the middle of the pad area to split it into a left and right side.
Thanks for the comment. Good to hear that the updated red model is slightly better. I must get my hands on one one day. Interesting that you’ve done some similar things with your grey one. I think the OverSynth label set is pretty classy, so check them out if you fancy a more permanent solution.

That's s good tip on
shift -tempo cause small incriment drove me nuts. So there's a way to set taptempo to regular increments?🎼

Sorry but those knobs make it look like cheap crap. The reality is its a crap interface and a terrible design, really hard to use unless you use it all the time. So much worse than the previous generation.
