TUA | Homecoming - Part 2: How faith in God, and a prophecy, led Tua Tagovialoa to a National Title

- During their trip home to Hawaii in May, the Tagovailoas attend regular Sunday morning services at their hometown church, Message of Peace. Pastors Tuli and Sai Amosa - who also happen to be Tua's paternal aunt and uncle - lead the congregation in song and spread the word of being a 'Champion for Life'.
In Episode 2 of TUA | Homecoming above, Tua's parents and pastors talk about the prophecy which ultimately led the quarterback to Alabama, and share how Tua's late grandfather - Papa Tagovailoa - continues to live on in Nick Saban.

A long ago the Lord put it in my heart to tell Tua that he was gonna be given an even higher platform to bring glory to God. I thought to myself “when am I ever gonna meet this man?” And now I run into this video where his pastors had prophesied this same word even before he joined Alabama. This Saturday I’m shopping for couches with my wife n kids here in south Florida and guess who I see sitting on a couch? Tua hímself! I spoke
to him and he was really cool but I held back in saying what’s been in my heart for over a year now. Now I see I should’ve been obedient 😕.
Love my God. Tua you told me to to believe in God. I read my bible daily. Y'all told me me it's possible. Roll Tide Till I die. Praise God ever. Thank you for my new found faith.

Hawaii is so nice. Haven't been to Ewa Beach but North Shore is nice. Waikiki is like a Rodeo Drive. Paia has a nice beach, Haiku has the food trucks. Big Beach is alright, couldn't make the trek into Little Beach that's not my thing. LaHaina is nice and chill, a must visit if you're in Maui.
Nawiliwili Kauai is scenic. They have a river not far from Lihue you kayak or paddleboard up it then there's a trail that takes you to a waterfall, real nice. Waimea Canyon if you're on Kauai you must visit. I tried to make it to Hanalei but the road was flooded out a couple of times. Kona on the big island is like none other. That's like the resort side of the big island. If you're out there try out 808 grindz for breakfast their breakfast of champions and you have to try the pancakes with macadamia nut sauce. And Holy Donuts in Kona... Hilo is a decent town to travel, the candy factory is a must also black sand beach and the Japanese botanical gardens and dont forget to visit the Farmers market in Hilo. If you're going to visit Mt Kiluau I'd suggest walk the trails if you're allowed to now I was out there before the eruption so much more things to do out there in Hawaii though...
The kid is talented and works hard. I wish people would put more faith in themselves than some deity.

Anyone else starting to get concerned the local media is glorifying this guy prematurely? I don't want to come off like a downer here but he's only going to be a Sophomore this year. He may never match that NC game performance ever again if he maintains all these nagging injuries that have already surfaced during this offseason alone, yet everyone in the press is already going all-in on him like he's the second coming of Tim Tebow or something.
I just don't want to get everyone's hopes up to even higher degrees of unrealistic expectations. Or have Tua think this job is his already, and this is all just his protracted 8 month coronation ceremony. I know being the starting QB at Alabama is a glorified position, but let's keep this guy hungry for a little longer if we can help it.
