- Welcome back to the channel! This month's Premium Bonds update is HERE, and it's a BIG one! My daughter and I continue our epic battle for Premium Bonds supremacy, with £100,000 on the line.
Who won the February prize draw? Did I finally beat my daughter's winning streak? And what's the overall return on our £100,000 investment since May?
In this video, I reveal the February Premium Bonds results for both of us, breaking down our individual winnings and calculating our combined return.
We'll also discuss the overall performance of Premium Bonds over the past 10 months, analysing whether they're still a worthwhile investment, especially considering the current interest rate environment and potential changes to my tax situation.
I'll share my thoughts on whether I'll continue with Premium Bonds or switch to other investment options like Gilts, Money Market Funds (MMFs), or high-interest accounts.

I presume a combined total for the year?
I am currently on a new savings journey with these and hope to start winning a little as I have had £520 in there since I was a kid back in the 80's and have barely ever won anything, with years and years between the small wins I got. I just bumped it up ten times that basically and will continue to put more in each month. So we shall see what happens, if anything.

@ TBH premium bonds are fun, useful if you have used up your tax and saving allowances but I am not sure I would use them as part of a savings journey. I hold PB as an emergency fund but expect to sell them if the winning pot drops to 3%.

@Law_Abiding_Citizen_ok Big win on 2 counts. £600 this month, which if annualised would be 7.2% tax free for a safe, liquid investment - so pretty big. But as important is that I finally closed the gap on my daughter. Now an even bigger win would have been the big prize. Maybe next month.
