  • The latest machine from LaserPecker, the LP5. This machine has a 20 watt blue and 20 watt 1064 beam.
For templates that I have made, check out my Etsy shop. I build files for projects and tools for laser engravers as well as CNC project files.

It seems that your channel has shifted from "how to do things with a laser engraver" to "review all of the cool stuff I get for free". I miss the old channel. Most of us that follow you aren't looking for a laser, we're looking how to use our laser.

My channel is a mix of both hardware and processes. I have lots of folks that want me to test out machines that they are interested in. I spend 2 hours every Sunday night answering questions and listening to requests from those who watch. I also work a full time job and run my shop business as well. Occasionally the hardware videos outnumber the projects. It just happens

I'd buy it just for the name. Who doesn't want to have a Laser Pecker?

It sounds like a name from Austin Powers

For $3299 the machine had better come with the ability to do my taxes and give me compliments.

I really like the idea of the higher powered midwave laser. Are the two lasers co-boresighted so that one could cut with one wavelength and engrave with the other? The portability is attractive -- one of the other applications is in the shop where one could take the laser to the work such as on a wall or mounted in a lathe.

You can assign different lasers to each layer.

Laser pecker was actually in the portable machine space before XTool. The product is similar in output specs

7:05 is that a template within the software or did you have to find it on the web?

I used the power and speed test in the software

They are not. You would need to have work for it to recover your expense.

I need to come and steal some goodies from the shack. Lord knows I can't afford this. I am hoping Roly comes out with the Ir module for lasermatic but would love to have this LP5!

@@exman05 much more portable. Biggest difference is the f1 ultra has the conveyor and can do an unlimited batch as long as you keep feeding it, but is designed to sit on a desk, not be carried around like the previous f1, the lp4, and the lp5.

I was also looking into both machines and I went with LP5. LP doesn't charge taxes to ship to the states. For the LP5 with Air Purifier and Rotary and the extension slide, I paid ~$3250. For X1, you only get F1 Ultra, air purifier and rotary for $5200 including tax, that's a 2K difference. After purchasing I did find that X1 has a better community, DesignFind for sharing projects all members. LP's CraftZone seems to be a much smaller community.

@@mlim82480 this is all true, but don't forget, the lp5 is much more portable. If your into craft fairs and events, the lp5 is the way to go.
