To put it simply in all souls borne game it’s more of a flex wearing less armor as the mindset and point of it is “why wear armor if I’m not gonna get hit” and there are light armor fashions you may just prefer the heavy armor look which some don’t it’s an open world rpg where you can play however you want also the dlc doesn’t scale via level so it wouldn’t matter either way
Why would you chose not to wear armor, if your a high enough level to be in the dlc then you can wear some armor and look good

you can actually light roll in this game and have more invincibility frames if your character is light enough
