I took my SS test on March 7th, 2018, I passed with college ready. I watched this video two times and took tons of notes. It was 95% reading paragraphs. This video still helped me by relating what I was reading to the actual event. My tips to anyone about to test is to read the question first, then read and reread the paragraph provided, get plenty of sleep the night before and eat before testing.

The GED test other than the math is all just reading graphs and exerts and writing. It's not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. One year ago today,I took the GED Social Studies test as the last part. Not only I passed it with the score of 146,but I finally passed my GED test. It was the long road for me,& it was also the happiest day of my life.

Abigail Boateng honestly the test is mostly reading comprehension, if you can read a paragraph, understand the basics of what's going on then you will do just fine. The material provided in this video helped me become more familiar with terms and getting me in the correct mindset but it isn't anything you need to memorize, such a dates. I overthought everything and it wasn't necessary, listen to this video a couple times before you take the test, pay attention and you'll do fine!

I just took the test today and I passed!!! Just to clear up any answers, I'm located in miami fl, miami dade county and unfortunately, none of this was on the test. In the miami area, it's mostly about George washington and his accompliments, theodore Roosevelt, James k polk, john locke and also a little bit of barack Obama. Their easy once you reread them once or twice. There's 30 questions and 68 minutes to do them. Good luck to you all! 😊😊😊
Honey Drug No, I didn't take any classes. All I did was watch this video twice two days in a row then took the test that same week. Tbh, I should have studied more to get a higher score but at least I passed. And I wouldn't say it's super easy but it's okay, like normal. Definitely study those topics I mentioned in my first comment since I took the test recently. And I'm not sure if any of these videos help. I only took one test so far. I'm going to watch the other videos they have then take the test in the beginning of September. Next one I'm doing is science or language arts. I'll keep you updated on everything love. I passed SS in November (got 175). It was more about reading paragraphs, understanding graphs, and using logic. No dates (thank God), no battles, just one question about ancient Greece. I still find this video very interesting and useful for those who want to know more about US history. It is very understandable for non-native speakers like me.

I just passed the social study. It’s more like reading comprehensive and skill to solve the problem ! It’s helpful to know the background knowledge to understand excerpt better ! You don’t have to memorize all the details but concepts and ideas of them. Good luck !

Oh, boi! I'm going to take my test tomorrow morning. Fairly confident I'll pass it. Update: I passed it! Scored a 154. Now all that is left is Language Art and Mathematics.
Ok I just got back from taking this, I scored 168. It wasn't hard, but it wasn't easy. A lot of the questions would give you a small part of a speech by a person from history, or even present day. and it would give 4 answers and say "what was this person trying to say?" pretty easy stuff, then there were a few questions about maps and graphs, just know you regions "southwest, east, south, north ect... There wasn't anything about the ammendments or much about government either. If you are good at reading something and comprehending it then you should be good.
just started recently studying for my GED again after failing years ago and being kicked out of my school. The Lord has given me a second chance at life to get my stuff together I hope to learn from these study guides and pass my test and get my life underway! :D

I have the Ged social studies test august 5th. I'm praying to God I pass cause this will be my third time trying. I found out inb th email beginning of this year that my Diploma was a scam and now I'm trying to get my ged but working on it with no money! So I'll continue to pray and put it all in God's hands! going to take my test on 11-18-2017 i summarized basically everything here, i really hope to pass this test! thank you for this video. on my first TASC GED attempt. i passed everything but social studies. Ever since i was little i hate learning so much about the USA's history because if you think about it... is too much to take in. i can tell this is a very good guide because going through this whole video gave me so many memories of all the high-schools i went to and credit recovery schools. All those history classes i had to go through... global, economics, us history.. im in (NY) and to all of those who dont like social studies as well, don't feel bad.. there's a new law that's supposed to graduate students who failed the HISTORY REGENTS they just have to make it up by taking a different regents... meaning............ that a lot of people were failing the history global regents. they needed an alternative in order for schools to not low their high schools ratings by the amounts of graduates per year... lol Again thank you for this video! i'm determined to pass this test tomorrow!
Most of the test I took was. About the senate and mostly graphs also just take ur time reading the question and using common sense and you will pass !!!!!!! I passed today 😸😺😺😺

Took the test 1/12/2018....majority was reading and comprehension. I had only two graph questions. All test are different but that is all I had for my 30 questions.

Passed on the first try and I only used this video to study. I'd say 95% of the test is reading comprehension/ graphs but you should try and study some of this stuff in the video because a lot of questions were around these subjects in history. There are a lot of questions that have multiple right answers so you have to be very careful to find the BEST and most accurate right answer. I finished with 11 minutes left so I went back and looked through some questions I flagged. Make sure to answer every question but flag the ones you weren't too sure about so if you have extra time you can go back to it.
Rose yes it did help, the questions are tricky so remember to read them and make sure you understand what they are really asking you to answer. So if you study hard and remember this info you will do great.

I passed with a 152! I was so sure I failed haha. There's nothing you really need to study for, you just need to know reading comprehension because that's all that is on the social studies test 😭 I'm going to retake it after I finish my other sections so i can get a higher score

Update: I passed it! Scored a 154. Now all that is left is Language Art and Mathematics.

Ok I just got back from taking this, I scored 168. It wasn't hard, but it wasn't easy. A lot of the questions would give you a small part of a speech by a person from history, or even present day. and it would give 4 answers and say "what was this person trying to say?" pretty easy stuff, then there were a few questions about maps and graphs, just know you regions "southwest, east, south, north ect... There wasn't anything about the ammendments or much about government either. If you are good at reading something and comprehending it then you should be good.

I have the Ged social studies test august 5th. I'm praying to God I pass cause this will be my third time trying. I found out inb th email beginning of this year that my Diploma was a scam and now I'm trying to get my ged but working on it with no money! So I'll continue to pray and put it all in God's hands! I have to pass this and get my ged so I can go to college!

going to take my test on 11-18-2017 i summarized basically everything here, i really hope to pass this test! thank you for this video. on my first TASC GED attempt. i passed everything but social studies. Ever since i was little i hate learning so much about the USA's history because if you think about it... is too much to take in.
i can tell this is a very good guide because going through this whole video gave me so many memories of all the high-schools i went to and credit recovery schools. All those history classes i had to go through... global, economics, us history..

and to all of those who dont like social studies as well, don't feel bad.. there's a new law that's supposed to graduate students who failed the HISTORY REGENTS they just have to make it up by taking a different regents...
meaning............ that a lot of people were failing the history global regents. they needed an alternative in order for schools to not low their high schools ratings by the amounts of graduates per year... lol

Most of the test I took was. About the senate and mostly graphs also just take ur time reading the question and using common sense and you will pass !!!!!!! I passed today 😸😺😺😺

Took the test 1/12/2018....majority was reading and comprehension. I had only two graph questions. All test are different but that is all I had for my 30 questions.

Passed on the first try and I only used this video to study. I'd say 95% of the test is reading comprehension/ graphs but you should try and study some of this stuff in the video because a lot of questions were around these subjects in history. There are a lot of questions that have multiple right answers so you have to be very careful to find the BEST and most accurate right answer. I finished with 11 minutes left so I went back and looked through some questions I flagged. Make sure to answer every question but flag the ones you weren't too sure about so if you have extra time you can go back to it.

I passed with a 152! I was so sure I failed haha. There's nothing you really need to study for, you just need to know reading comprehension because that's all that is on the social studies test 😭 I'm going to retake it after I finish my other sections so i can get a higher score
